Last night, over 20 fashion bloggers and I rocked the runway as bloggers against breast cancer for Fashion for a Cause at Bloomingdale’s. We began working on the campaign last month and teamed up in a collaborative photo shoot at the Sagamore, Art Hotel in Miami Beach along with talented photographer Alexander Tamargo to create a video installation that was unveiled at Bloomingdale’s at our event.
As I mentioned in my previous post about the campaign, special guests Marisa Acocella Marchetto (Glamour cartoonist and author of Cancer Vixen), Bob Carey, and Luis Valenzuela were available to meet and greet with guests while the fashion bloggers were prepping for the runway. Guests also devoured gluten-free cupcakes by BunnieCakes, fro-yo by Pinkberry and sips by Perrier.

SoBlo styled our hair while Bloomingdale’s newest cosmetic area, Illamasqua gave each blogger a fabulous pink-inspired look to pair well with our Peace Love World shirts. As a runway blogger, I pre-selected and styled my look courtesy of Bloomingdale’s and had an amazing time supporting a great cause. As a niece of breast cancer survivors, this particular cause was close to my heart and I will continue to support breast cancer awareness.

Summer is in full effect, along with the sweltering sweat-dripping weather. Today’s look is one of my go-to outfits for an outdoor summer BBQ or Sunday Farmer’s Market on Lincoln Road. The simplicity of rocking a bandeau top (A bra in itself? Yes please) and denim shorts gives this look a comfortably chic appeal that allows me to stay as cool as possible in Miami.
If wearing a bandeau by itself is a little too daring, throw on a sleeveless loose-fitting tank or graphic mesh top to make it a little more wearable.
