Denim on Denim.

Pairing light-washed denim on denim has been a newfound love of mine, as it can be dressed up or down for multiple occasions.  2B Bebe's new signature denim in the "Ripped Serena Skinny" style have been my go-to pair of jeans lately.  I love the light destroying which adds an edge to the overall look, and the material is somewhat stretchy so it leaves breathing room for me.

For this particular look, I paired the denim jeans with a light-washed denim button-up from F21 which has silhouette pockets on the breast portion of the shirt.  To dress it up, I added a textured belt, metallic clutch and embellished heels from ZARA.

What I'm Rocking: Top by F21 | Jeans by 2B Bebe | Ring & Clutch by ALDO
Heels by ZARA | Belt by H&M

Cosmopolitan en Español Beach Bash Event

As a leader in the Spanish-language fashion and beauty editorial world, Cosmopolitan en Español kicked off the summer season with its annual Beach Bash hosted by Editor-in-Chief Ana Victoria Taché at Nikki Beach Miami.  Presenting sponsors included Splat, Samsara Imports and L.A. Colors Cosmetics.

Nikki Beach was the ideal location to host a beach bash, with its open beach space venue along with day beds and teepees to create a relaxing atmosphere.  Aside from the fabulous location, guests were greeted pleasantly while snapping photographs in front of the Cosmopolitan Beach Bash step-and-repeat.  The cocktail party was designed for fun and fearless women, featuring a Splat Hair Chalk beauty/hair bar, cosmetics application by L.A. Colors Cosmetics, and alcohol-infused cupcakes by Sweet & Tipsy.

Check out what I wore and some shots from the event below:

H&M top

Silk & Lace.

Ever since New York Fashion Week, I've been swamped with projects so I have to apologize for my brief hiatus from blogging.  The weather has cooled down slightly in Miami, but it's given me a chance to pull out my fall and winter items.  One of my favorite ways to build a look together is to piece various textures or materials together to create a unified outfit.  For today's outfit of the day, I paired a silk flowing dress by BCBG Maxazria along with an edgy belt to cinch it at the waist and lace tights.  I added a hint of leopard print to add a bit of fringe to the overall look as well.

A new trend for the upcoming season is the black and white combination, which I am also loving right now.  Therefore, I threw on a bold black and white clutch to accent the look and finish it off.

What I'm Rocking:
BCBG Maxazria silk dress
H&M tights
ASOS belt
Steve Madden clutch
Guess watch

New Video: Valentine's Day to Night Looks

Hey lovers!  For today's blog post I have a few Valentine's Day looks that can be transformed from day to night outfits, whether it is from work to a dinner date or a casual day followed by a night out with the girls.  One of my tricks for transforming this look is to rock a romantic dress as a top during the day and then pull it down while removing the skinny jeans at night.  To add some flare for the evening, I also added a glitzy blazer and some feminine jewelry as well.  I also switched my heels from a neutral tone to a more vibrant color at night.  Enjoy, and let me know if you try these out :)

What I'm Rocking in the Video:
Daytime Look
H&M peplum blazer
H&M lace dress
Target belt
F21 skinnies
H&M pumps

Evening Look
H&M lace dress
Boutique sequin blazer
ALDO pumps
Guess watch
F21 jewelry

Leather & Lace.

Hey guys!  I know that it's been awhile since my last blog post, but I was up north visiting my family for the holidays so I've pretty much been MIA for a few weeks on my blog and video channels.  Sometimes I think we need to take a break (or maybe it's just me) and humble ourselves, whether it's through spending time with family and friends or simply taking a trip to get away.  It was nice to spend so much time with my family and everyone was so excited to see my little man.

Despite my recent trip, I arrived back in Miami late last night and I have so many new things that I can't wait to show ya'll!  This look of the day is really affordable, as I purchased most of the items from H&M.  Surprisingly, H&M has some of the most comfortable heels!  I never bought shoes from them before and the sizes run larger than US sizes, but they are the most comfortable heels I've ever purchased.

What I'm Rocking:
H&M peplum top
H&M faux leather shorts
H&M heels
Kate Spade bracelet
H&M belt
Boutique necklace
ALDO earrings

OOTD: Midnight Mint

Happy 2013 everyone!  What did you do to ring in the New Year?  This year I decided to keep it pretty low key and stayed in with my family and my little man.  It's so cold up north that I really didn't want to step outside in the 0 degree weather either!

However, I have been enjoying being able to throw on my layered clothing as you may know already.  I went out to lunch with a friend today and did a little shopping so I threw on a simple little black dress with some tights and my trench coat.  There's something about a little black dress that remains classic and can be styled so many different ways.  One of my favorite trends this season is the trench coat, which is another classic for the winter season.  I added a minty scarf to give the look a little pop of color as well.  What are some of your favorite trends for the winter?

What I'm Rocking:
Target scarf
H&M dress
Express trench coat
H&M tights
Express belt
Steve Madden booties
