There are few things that beat the Winters in Miami, paired with sun-filled Sundays, toes in the sand and salty water splashing through the hair. And just like that, I'm back in Miami Beach (and my fluffy white bed). Don't get me wrong…it's always a joy to travel home and see my family, but it feels good to be back in crop top/denim short weather. For the best of both worlds, I decided to pair this black GUESS jumpsuit with an alternate soft-toned cocoon coat. I love the combination of pastels with dark shades, as it offsets the femininity of the coat.
I don't know about all of you, but I've been doing a bit of traveling lately and I tend to gravitate towards particular pieces when I'm putting together a quick look for the airport. When I'm traveling I like to wear a simple graphic tee over some black leggings with a leather jacket (since airports and airplanes can get chilly) and some loafers or boots. Lately, I've been rocking loafers because they are comfortable to walk in and easy to slip on or off. I also carry an over-sized black bag as my carry-on. Check it out below!
Since I was traveling over this past weekend, I thought I would show you what's in my travel makeup bag. Of course I don't like to take all of my cosmetics with me while I'm traveling, but I keep the essential items. I also kept all of these items in one of my Glam Bags since it's the perfect travel sized bag. Check it out!
What's in my Travel Makeup Bag:
Benefit Eyebrow kit
Urban Decay Glide-on eyeliner
Milani liquid eyeliner
Maybelline nude lipstick
MAC pressed powder
L'Oreal Magic Souffle foundation
Now that the spring season is in full effect, it stirs up the desire to do plenty of traveling. I have always enjoyed spending time with my family traveling to various cities throughout the world and it has carried on with me now that I am independent as well.
When I'm traveling, I typically bring the following products or items with me for convenience:
Magazine - Airplane entertainment (People StyleWatch)
Lightweight Sweater - In warmer climates, it's nice to throw on once I get off the plane (F21)
Passport - I take my ID and passport with me while traveling
Leather Jacket - This is a must-have for airports where it can be a bit chilly (Express)
Eyeliner - I don't bring my complete make-up bag with me but I bring eyeliner to apply touch ups (Milani)
Lipstick - Adding a hint of lip color freshens up my look (Rich Girl Lipstick)
Liquid Eyeliner - I bring my liquid eyeliner to apply touch ups as well (Milani)
Transparent Powder - Since airplanes can be very dry, I tend to bring my powder and other beauty products to freshen up my look if needed (M.A.C.)
Gum - To keep my ears from popping =] (Eclipse)
iPhone and Charger - These go with me everywhere (Apple)
Facial Cleanser - Sometimes, I like to wash my face in between flights to revitalize my skin (Cerave)
Fragrance Atomizer and Perfume - The perfume is simply inserted in the atomizer and serves as a travel size perfume bottle that won't spill or take up added room in my carry-on bag (Sephora/Dolce & Gabbana)
Anti-bacterial Wipes - These are great for a quick hand wipe...especially for those with kids (Wet Ones)
Watch - I usually wear this watch at all times (GUESS)
Mini Energy Bars - For a quick energy boost in between flights (CLIF)
Printed Scarf - If it gets chilly on the plane, just throw a scarf on (ZARA)
Oversized Tote - To store all of my traveling goodies in(JPK Handbags)
