Daytime Chic with Alice & Trixie.

One of my favorite new brands, Alice & Trixie, takes a bold approach incorporating signature prints and beautiful pop colors in their pieces.  As you may already know, I am quite the sucker for A-line skirts and lightweight silk tops so I had to scoop these babies up.  It's a look that can easily be rocked from Sunday brunch to city shopping.

The contrasting detail in the center of this Alice & Trixie top gives it a unique aspect that I really love, and pairs well with the cinched waistline of this skirt.  I wore this outfit while shopping in Mizner Park, which is located in Boca Raton where I found the gorgeous Rhythm of Grace boutique.  If you haven't been to Mizner Park shopping center, I highly suggest checking it out.  There are a number of hidden gems in the area - including stores by Z Gallerie, Hublot, and soon Lord & Taylor.  Not to mention a dope Asian restaurant called Kapow Noodle Bar.

Silk & Lace.

Ever since New York Fashion Week, I've been swamped with projects so I have to apologize for my brief hiatus from blogging.  The weather has cooled down slightly in Miami, but it's given me a chance to pull out my fall and winter items.  One of my favorite ways to build a look together is to piece various textures or materials together to create a unified outfit.  For today's outfit of the day, I paired a silk flowing dress by BCBG Maxazria along with an edgy belt to cinch it at the waist and lace tights.  I added a hint of leopard print to add a bit of fringe to the overall look as well.

A new trend for the upcoming season is the black and white combination, which I am also loving right now.  Therefore, I threw on a bold black and white clutch to accent the look and finish it off.

What I'm Rocking:
BCBG Maxazria silk dress
H&M tights
ASOS belt
Steve Madden clutch
Guess watch

Lady in Red

During the spring and summer seasons I love wearing rompers because they are so simple to throw on, yet chic and feminine.  They can also be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion.  In my Spring Trends blog post, I featured a lightweight floral romper that I paired with some neon heels.  However, today's OOTD showcases this silk romper that I scooped up at Bebe.  What drew me to this piece was the bold color in addition to the detailing and pleats.   Therefore, it's one of my favorite items in the closet as of now.  I decided to go for a bit of a casual look by pairing it with some simple snakeskin sandals, but I also added a big statement necklace and a chunky bracelet with my gold watch.  Adding bold accessories to a solid piece can create a very chic look.

What I'm wearing:
Bebe romper
F21 necklace & bracelet
GUESS watch
Sally Hansen nail strips

As you can see, the black trim from these silk pants really complements the detailing of my blouse.  These are probably the most comfortable pair of pants that I own.  They are lightweight and I love the feel of them.  Since we're having beautiful weather today, I decided to go with a look that is comfortable yet light.

What I'm wearing:
H&M sheer blouse
Target tank top
ZARA silk pants
Guess gold watch
Forever 21 bracelet
Sally Hansen Presto Pink nail polish
