One of my favorite new skincare discoveries for the fall season is Luv Ya Skincare, which is a comprehensive face line that offers formulations using natural active botanicals and pure essential oils.  I typically stick to Clean & Clear or Neutrogena for my daily facial cleanser, but after trying out this line I was highly impressed with the quality of ingredients in the products.

Luv Ya Skincare's Vitamin A Pumpkin Cleanser is like pumpkin pie in a bottle - seriously.  Applying this cleanser felt as if my face was devouring dessert, while providing nutrition to the face that firms and tightens.  Containing key ingredients such as Vitamin A and Beta Carotene, the formula left my skin feeling fresh and smooth.

After testing out the cleanser, I applied Luv Ya Skincare's Balancing Toner which helped cleanse a little deeper in the pores and really brightened up my face.  The toner contains a powerful ingredient, witch hazel, that I have used in the past and find it to effectively clean out my pores.

Aside from cleansing and toning, the skincare line digs a little deeper to refine the face and purify skin.  I also tried out the Kukui Nut Scrub as an exfoliator, which contains a volcanic source to wipe away dead cells without harsh abrasion.  I've used a lot of exfoliators that feel like my face is being ripped off, but this one is mild enough while still removing the dead skin with ease.  A few other favorites of mine are the C+ Collagen Serum and the Collagen Mask which made my skin feel absolutely amazing and gave my face a glow!  My skin is oily and sometimes skincare lines don't work well with my type, but Luv Ya Skincare really impressed me with the quick results.

As for daytime products, the SPF 30+ Moisturizer was the perfect enriching hydrator to put on under my makeup AND it blends well with cosmetics.  Do any of you know what I'm talking about?  There's nothing worse than applying a moisturizer that leaves your makeup looking like a greasy mess.  However, the SPF 30+ moisturizer contains no oil, which worked heavenly with my skin type.

At night, I tried out the Intensive Eye Cream with Murumuru (I had no idea what this was prior to trying it out, but it's a fruit from the amazon rainforest rich in nutrition and moisture).  Let's just say I went to sleep with dark circles under my eyes and woke up looking refreshened.

I'm not the type to give good product reviews for products that I don't honestly think highly of, so believe me when I say that the quality of Luv Ya Skincare is amazing!  If you are looking for a new skincare line for the new season, check it out at LuvYaSkin.com

What's In My Traveling Bag?

Now that the spring season is in full effect, it stirs up the desire to do plenty of traveling.  I have always enjoyed spending time with my family traveling to various cities throughout the world and it has carried on with me now that I am independent as well.

When I'm traveling, I typically bring the following products or items with me for convenience:

  1. Magazine - Airplane entertainment (People StyleWatch)
  2. Lightweight Sweater - In warmer climates, it's nice to throw on once I get off the plane (F21)
  3. Passport - I take my ID and passport with me while traveling
  4. Leather Jacket - This is a must-have for airports where it can be a bit chilly (Express)
  5. Eyeliner - I don't bring my complete make-up bag with me but I bring eyeliner to apply touch ups (Milani)
  6. Lipstick - Adding a hint of lip color freshens up my look (Rich Girl Lipstick)
  7. Liquid Eyeliner - I bring my liquid eyeliner to apply touch ups as well (Milani)
  8. Transparent Powder - Since airplanes can be very dry, I tend to bring my powder and other beauty products to freshen up my look if needed (M.A.C.)
  9. Gum - To keep my ears from popping =] (Eclipse)
  10. iPhone and Charger - These go with me everywhere (Apple)
  11. Facial Cleanser - Sometimes, I like to wash my face in between flights to revitalize my skin (Cerave)
  12. Fragrance Atomizer and Perfume - The perfume is simply inserted in the atomizer and serves as a travel size perfume bottle that won't spill or take up added room in my carry-on bag (Sephora/Dolce & Gabbana)
  13. Anti-bacterial Wipes - These are great for a quick hand wipe...especially for those with kids (Wet Ones)
  14. Watch - I usually wear this watch at all times (GUESS)
  15. Mini Energy Bars - For a quick energy boost in between flights (CLIF)
  16. Printed Scarf - If it gets chilly on the plane, just throw a scarf on (ZARA)
  17. Oversized Tote - To store all of my traveling goodies in (JPK Handbags)

Friday Favorites!

It's Friday, so you know what that means...Friday Favorites!  For this week, I've featured primarily beauty products but a few other items relating to fashion or health.  I was not compensated to promote these brands by any means.  Enjoy your weekend, guys!

This cleanser is one of my go-to face washes because it doesn't leave my skin dry at all.  I received this at a fashion show; however, it is most likely available at any of your local drug stores.
I'm a fan of Clean & Clear products (ever since my tween-age years), and this Morning Burst facial scrub is perfect for deep cleansing.  I use this about once a week.  I picked this up at CVS, but I'm sure it's available at Target or Walgreen's as well.
Urban Decay has my favorite eyeshadow primer, which some would consider an "indulgence" since it isn't really necessary when applying eyeshadow.  However, I find that it actually helps reduce the need to use more product because it acts as a glue to keeping your eye makeup on longer.  I grabbed this item at Sephora.
Lately, I have been using this bareVitamins PRIME TIME foundation primer as well.  At first I thought that the oily consistency would leave my face feeling greasy but it actually applies smoothly without any residue.  This primer helps keep foundation on throughout the whole day.  I purchase this product from Sephora as well.
I have to admit, I am a sucker for protein or nutritional bars and I love these Pure & Simple energy bars by PowerBar.  They satisfy my hunger and taste delicious too!  I buy these from Walgreen's.
Last but not least, this was one of my major splurges this week.  I owned an iPhone before and switched back to Blackberry for some time but now I've returned to the infamous iPhone and I'm loving my new toy!

The Short Suit

I've been looking for a suit with shorts for some time now, and I managed to snag this baby at H&M.  What makes it great is its lightweight feel along with the textured shine that coats it.  It's perfect for a daytime outfit!

What I'm wearing:
H&M short suit
ZARA top
Forever 21 over-the-shoulder clutch
ALDO heels
Sally Hansen nail strips
Rich Girl by Richie Rich lipstick

Friday Favorites

It's time for another round of Friday Favorites!  See below for some of my favorite items of the week, whether it be beauty, health, home, or fashion items.  I was not compensated or paid by any of the following brands to review these products.

These Sephora Nail Bling Strips come in multiple different styles.  I don't think they are as great as the Sally Hansen nail strips, but they ultimately have the same effect.

Can you hear the music playing now?
The most delicious macaroons I have ever tasted.  I picked these up at a local farmer's market where different vendors from South Florida sell all of their treats and some days they also sell vintage clothing!  Anyway, these were delish!

Once the jacket sleeve is removed...
Sephora had these available around the holiday season, as they serve as the perfect gift!  Included inside are twelve different perfumes that you can try.  I love it because it allows me to try all of them out and decide which one I truly want to purchase.  What is also great about it is that it comes with an interchangeable fragrance atomizer that you place each sample inside of.
There were various sets, but mine included the following perfume selections: Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir, Clinique Happy, Coach Poppy Flower, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, DKNY pureDKNY Verbena, Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioa, Givenchy Very Irresistible L'Intense, Gucci Guilty, Juicy Couture, Marc Jacobs Daisy, Prada Infusion D'Iris and Versace Bright Crystal.  Once the samples are finished, the voucher can be taken into any Sephora and redeemed for a fragrance!
I have a few different kinds of foundations that I use, but I am very pleased with this NARS Sheer Matte foundation in Tahoe.  My skin type is regular/oily, so I typically go for the matte foundations.  It blends easily, keeps my skin looking fresh and leaves no oily residue either.
Here are a few of my favorite books:  Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra, A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey, and Good to Great by Jim Collins.  I read a lot of motivational or inspirational books because I am all for positivity in my life.  I believe that whatever you put out into the world is what comes back to you: the law of attraction!
