OOTD: Mixing Neon with Neutrals

I actually shot this outfit of the day a little while ago, but never really posted it on my blog (which is why my hair looks different in these photos)!  For this look I simply paired some liquid leggings with a loose fitting sheer blouse and a nude blazer.  To complement the neutral tones, I rocked this look with these bright neon pumps to bring it all together.  This is ideal for a night out with the girls or even a casual business meeting, depending on what type of job you may have or how flexible the work attire is.

What I'm wearing:
F21 blazer
F21 blouse
Express leggings
ALDO pumps

OOTD: Kardashian Kollection Romper

One of my favorite items to wear for the spring/summer season is a romper since it's a simple piece that can be accessorized and paired with details that give it an effortless look.  This particular romper is sleeveless with pants and a bold print from the Kardashian Kollection, which is available at Sears.  It naturally comes with a bright neon cloth belt that ties at the waist, but I swapped it out for a thin skinny belt to give it more of a chic look and feel.  I also rocked a bright neon shoulder bag to make it pop.

What I'm wearing:
Kardashian Kollection romper
Express skinny belt
Old Navy shoulder bag
Steve Madden sandal heels
Movado watch

OOTD: Frills and Thrills

What I love about today's OOTD is how feminine it is.  Sometimes it just feels good to throw something on that makes me feel ultra girly, and this outfit does just that by incorporating a silk top with a delicate skirt and Mary Jane heels accented with bows.

What I'm wearing:
Cotton On top
F21 skirt
H&M clutch
F21 bracelet
Sally Hansen nail strips

Neon Pants NOIR

As many of you know, I have fully embraced the neon trend for this season.  One of my favorite ways to style a neon piece is to pair it with neutral accents.  For today's OOTD, I paired these neon casual pants with a graphic tee that shows a peek of midriff.  To add a bit more of color, I wore a pink lip and neon pink bangles.

What I'm wearing:
ZARA top and pants
F21 bangles
Movado watch
Steve Madden heels

Neon Silk and Metallic Accents

What else would I be doing at 11:30pm on a Tuesday night than posting my blog of the day?  For today's OOTD I paired this gem of a top with some sequin shorts and metallic accents.  Combining neon with metallic accents can really make your look pop, or if you aren't as daring you can always choose your preference to add to your look to complete it.  For example, pairing a simple bright top with a neutral maxi skirt can go well with a skinny metallic belt and heels.  Whichever way you choose to dress it up or down, it can ultimately look amazing together.  XOXO.

Cotton On blouse
Express shorts

How To Revamp Your Spring Wardrobe: 10 Must-Haves

A great way to revamp your spring wardrobe can be done by simply adding (or keeping) 10 essential items for the new season.  There are a few trends that have carried over to the spring, so not all winter items have to be pushed to the back of your closet.

Here are my 10 essentials for the new season:

  1.  Neon - A lightweight neon top can make any outfit pop
  2. A Bright Blazer - Adding a cotton bright blazer completes the look
  3. Metallic Clutch - Pairing metallic accents with simple pieces or prints can look great together
  4. A Floral Dress - Every girl needs something very feminine in her closet, and what better way to pull it off than a pink floral dress?
  5. Lightweight Pants - I love to throw these on with a white tank underneath and a skinny belt
  6. Pastel - Without looking like an Easter egg, you can incorporate pastels in a subtle way by rocking light pinks, purple, mint green or light blue
  7. A Printed Blouse - These look wonderful underneath some high-waisted shorts or pants
  8. A Colorblocked Tote - Perfect beach bag
  9. A Bright Skinny Belt - The ideal way to cinch up a blouse, dress, or pants
  10. Simple Black Shorts - They go with everything!

It's All In The Details

As most of you may already know, neon is one of the latest trends for the spring season and I love incorporating this trend in my everyday look.  In my Spring Trend: Florals and Neon post, I featured a floral romper paired with some neon pumps that left me pleased with the results.  Today's look combines the pairing of detailed pieces with one neon accent to create an everyday chic outfit.  What I love about this sweater is the metallic coating in addition to the peep hole on the back.  It's the perfect little detailed item for this OOTD!  Adding an item with minor detail can bring your whole look together.

What I'm wearing:
H&M metallic sweater
F21 top
Express scarf
F21 jeans
Old Navy shoulder bag
Miss Sixty wedges

Weekend Looks for 3 Different Style Types

As the weekend is approaching, so are the endless options of what to wear for every occasion.  Everybody has their own style; therefore, I have dedicated today's post to outlining three different looks for these style types.  If your style type is eclectic, you can switch out the following looks as they apply to occasions or events throughout the weekend.  Enjoy!

Feminine and Trendy - This look is perfect for those who love delicate fabrics, spring floral prints, follow trends, and enjoy girlie accents.  The ideal occasion: Brunch with the ladies.  Where the items are from: F21 blouse, shorts and bracelet | ALDO heels and bag.

Effortlessly Chic - Although rocking high heels is great, sometimes a girl just wants to throw on a pair of flats too.  It could also be wearable with a pair of denim shorts, as shoulder bags accentuate the length of shorts as well.  This outfit is applicable to those who enjoy a bit more of a casual look, need something cute yet fashionable for school, or on-the-go moms.  The ideal occasion: Daytime shopping or to the local market.  Where the items are from: ZARA top | F21 distressed jeans | Vintage shoulder bag | Target flats | F21 accessories.

Bold and Edgy - For the daring, this look can make you stand out in any setting.  Pair a high-peaked shoulder top with a statement necklace, sequin shorts and colorful pumps and you are set.  The ideal occasion: Girl's night out or a late dinner date.  Where the items are from: ZARA top | ZARA necklace | Arden B earrings | Guess watch | Express shorts | Boutique pumps.

Spring Trend: Florals and Neon

To be honest, I rarely ever wore floral print until last year.  My style has transformed to a mix of feminine yet edgy chic.  Therefore, I have really embraced floral prints during the Spring and Summer seasons because they are so delicate.  I also tend to wear plenty of rompers, skirts, and shorts when it's warm out.  Rompers are not only comfortable, but they can be paired with anything from blazers to a denim vest (depending on what type of romper).  For today's look of the day, I've paired this Urban Outfitters romper with some pink neon heels.  I like the contrast of delicate prints with something a little more bold and edgy.  Let me know what you think!

Friday Favorites: My Top 5 Spring Trends

Happy Friday everyone!  For today's Friday Favorites, I've compiled together some of my top 5 trends for the upcoming season.  Spring is such a beautiful season because the weather is amazing and it allows you to bring out some of your lighter and brighter pieces.  What are some of your favorite trends for the season?

Here are some of my favorite trends:

LEATHER - Adding a leather piece to any outfit can give your look a bit of an edge.

NEON - Bright and vibrant neon tones can really make any look pop.

MINT - Mint green is a beautiful pastel color that's very trendy this season and it can be as simple as adding minty nail polish to your nails to bring your look together.

DAYTIME CLUTCH - A large or oversized daytime clutch is simple and convenient for this upcoming season.

COLOR BLOCKING - Combing bold colors together add a bit of brightness to your look, so my spring wardrobe is filled with bright pieces.  I can't wait to pair them together.

Neon and Bright Maxi Skirts

What I'm wearing:
ZARA tank, Lulu's maxi skirt, Victoria's Secret bra, Vintage belt, Steve Madden handbag, Forever 21 necklace, H&M bracelets

One of my latest fascinations is neon garments.  As you can see, I've added a neon green bra underneath a loose fitting tank top to highlight the outfit and complement my maxi skirt.  It's perfect for a breezy day in Miami.
