Friday Favorites: Top 10 Accessories Every Girl Should Own

Whether it includes the addition of a simple cocktail ring to an evening outfit or a bold statement necklace to a white blouse, accessorizing can really complete your look.  For today's post, I've featured my top 10 accessories that every girl should own.  They don't have to necessarily be the exact same pieces, but these will just give you a general idea.  Check them  out!

1) Gold Watch - Adding a gold watch to your look can give an overall classic appeal

2) Bold Bangles - These jewel-toned bangles can make a neutral outfit look great with a simple pop of color (ex. maxi skirt and a white tank)

3) Neon Accessories - Neon accents are very trendy right now and they can really complete your look

4) Studs - Studs, spikes or anything including embellishments can be added to a simple white blouse to make it look a little edgy

5) Mint Studs - Mint or pastel colors are another trend for the Spring season and these studded earrings are a great touch to denim tops, blouses, or florals

6) Statement Necklace - These look great over crew neck tops or a button-up blouse

7) Cocktail Ring - Adding one of these babies to an evening look can turn your work outfit to a happy hour outfit

8) Bright Skinny Belt - Adding a skinny belt to cinch up a dress, top or high-waisted pants gives you a more polished look

9) Feminine Accent - Grab at least one accessory that is romantic or truly feminine to lighten up your outfit

10) Green or Blue Toned Jewelry - Yet another trend for the upcoming season and it is gorgeous!

Be Bold

I've been doing quite a bit of color-blocking with my looks lately and I happened to stumble upon this beautiful color-blocked shoulder purse at a local vintage store.  Therefore, I incorporated the purse with these bright green pants and yellow top.  I added green heels to enhance the overall look and a white blazer to neutralize it since I added so much color.  Let me know what you think!

What I'm wearing:
F21 blazer
American Apparel tank
Express pants
F21 necklace
Vintage shoulder purse

Comfortably Chic

What I like about these pants is that they can be dressed up or down.  For instance, most would wear them as pajama pants but I decided to go for something a little bit more versatile by pairing them with a sheer collared shirt with boho-chic accessories.  I added the mustard toned high heels for a pop of color as well.  What are some of your favorite items to dress up or down?

What I'm wearing:
Forever 21 hat
Forever 21 top
Target belt
ZARA pants

Peaked Shoulders + Tribal Neckwear

The weekend is approaching, which gave me more motivation to put together this edgy yet chic look. What makes it so unique is each and every one of the little details that bring it all together.  I purchased the black top from ZARA, and what I love about it is the structure of the shirt with its high peaked shoulders.  I paired it with a mini skirt that has line detailing throughout the pattern as well as the layered fabric toward the top.  I also added a gold tribal necklace as a great statement piece, patterned tights, and basic black booties.  I kept my hair pulled back and added simple earrings to shy away from adding too much to the outfit.  Let me know what you guys think!

Also, most of the items included in my post are no longer for sale but I've included some similar items that you can purchase.  Simply rollover the images to purchase them.

What I'm wearing:
ZARA top
ASOS belt
Arden B skirt
ASOS tights
Sephora nail strips

Day to Night: Glistening in Red Heels

For today's post, I have featured an OOTD (outfit of the day) that can be transformed from day to night.  I wore it as a daytime look to run a few errands.  Whereas I typically wear 4-1/2 - 5-inch heels, I decided to rock a shorter heel with this look because I knew that I would be doing plenty of running around.  What is wonderful about this pairing is that it can be revamped to a night time look as well.  (i.e. I might simply pair it with black skinny jeans, layer it with a leather jacket, and some tall booties).  Enjoy!

What I'm wearing:
H&M sweater
H&M shorts
Forever 21 necklace
Nine West handbag
ALDO heels

Friday Favorites

The following items are some of my favorite health, beauty, home or fashionable items for the week.  However, the bulk of my chosen items are beauty products with a few fashion pieces.  These are products that I highly recommend or have been using often this week.  I was not endorsed or compensated to review any of the items below.  Mouse over any of the products to purchase them for yourself!

This Studio 35 Beauty product is amazing.  I wear shorts, skirts and dresses often so this is one of my favorite beauty products.  The way it works is that you spray it all over your legs, let it dry for about 5-10 minutes, then put your clothes on.  It leaves your legs looking flawless!

I use this eyebrow shaping kit by Benefit every day.  It includes highlighting tones, dark brow shades, cream shadows for shading, a miniature tweezers, as well as a small angled brush to apply with.  I received this kit from a fashion show, but it's also available at ULTA stores.

For those of you who use heat on your hair often (blow dryers, curling irons, flat irons, etc.), I highly recommend spraying it with this Aussie heat protecting spray.  It leaves your hair feeling soft and doesn't allow the heat to damage your hair.

These are a few of my favorite accessories of the week: 1) Studded leather collar necklace 2) Leopard belt 3) Gold watch

LUSH has some of the most amazing bath/beauty products!  I actually purchased these items around the holiday season and I gifted various items to my friends.  All of their products are hand-made and they smell good too.  Included in this box is a bath bubble bar and a bath bomb.  The bath bubble bar is dropped in the water of a bath and it produces bubbles, while the bath bomb creates a great smelling bath that is really relaxing.  These make the perfect gifts because they are gift wrapped and of premium quality!
