New Video: Magnetic Nail Tutorial

As I'm sitting here drinking my coffee, I'm reminiscing about the high school years when I used to put so much effort into painting my nails and creating special designs on each nail.  Nowadays, I don't really have plenty of time to sit down to do them so that's why I've been utilizing Sally Hansen's wondrous inventions (Sally Hansen nail strips are like the miraculous nail makeover for mothers especially).  I recently discovered their latest product, Magnetic Nail Color, which is a nail polish that allows you to create a design on your nails using a magnet.  Therefore, I decided to do a nail tutorial for you ladies (and maybe event some gentlemen too)!

What I love about this product is that it's simple to use and dries quickly as well.  If you're really in a hurry, you can always spray your nails with a quick-drying finishing spray to speed up the process a bit.  The magnetic nail polish adds some depth to your nails and comes in fall colors as well.  I also give a brief recap on my most recent event that I attended, Gilt City Miami's Warehouse Sale which was so much fun.  Check it out below:

Mani Monday

Happy Monday everyone!  I decided to try something a little different for today's blog post by incorporating my latest manicure routine.  My nail polish collection is endless, as I have been collecting for years now.  However, I recently picked up some spring and summer colors to add to it.  As I blogged about previously, one of my favorite nail polish collections for the season is the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors polishes.  For more of an everyday shade, I use the Kim-pletely in Love pink polish.  It's the perfect sheer, pale pink color.

Here's my nail routine:

1) Thoroughly cleanse my hands with soap and water (sometimes I use a scrub).
2) Apply a thick layer of lotion to my hands.
3) Place some aloe vera gloves on my hands and let sit for 10 minutes.
4) File and clean my nails.
5) Remove cuticles.
6) Apply a clear base/top coat.
7) Layer on nail polish (I used 3 coats this time).
8) Apply a clear base/top coat again.
9) Let them dry and voila!
