Top 10 Quotes To Change The Way You Live And Think

"Wearing confidence in every part of your life can completely transform your character and surroundings.  If you don't believe in yourself, nobody else will."

In light of starting off the upcoming week fresh, I'm sharing my top ten quotes to change the way you live and think.  It's distinguishable that we all experience ups and downs, life doesn't always go as planned, and it often times leaves us devising a plan for how to change.  Change has many negative connotations, but it doesn't need to be viewed in poor light.  There are a number of occurrences that I have undergone in my life, believe it or not, but it's the perception of how I handled each situation that allowed me to keep pushing.

Therefore, here are some of my favorite motivational and inspirational quotes to change your thoughts and life.  I hope you enjoy!

Often times we are afraid to take a risk or change an aspect of our lives, but don't realize that new opportunities and experiences lie on the other side.

Wearing confidence in every part of your life can completely transform your character and surroundings.  If you don't believe in yourself, nobody else will.

I continually tell my family and friends how important positivity is, and the power of instilling good energy throughout your life.  The best course of action is to put positive thoughts out into the world, and good things will come to you.

It's easy to start something and never finish it, but it takes strength and hard work to keep it in motion.  Whether it be a relationship, a job, losing weight, or moving on to bigger and better things, life is constantly in motion and it's important to keep pushing through.  Don't stop just because you hit a fork in the road.

You're bound to meet confrontation in the face at some point, but it's how you react to situations that control your way of thinking.  Nobody can make you feel inferior unless you allow them to.  Stand up for yourself and what you believe in, with no fear.

As human beings, it's only natural that we tend to hold on to people, places or things that we believe identify who we are.  If you believe that something or someone is holding you back from accomplishing your dreams, let it go.  You are capable of what your mind allows you to.

Girls or women often feel self-conscience about appearance, relationships, or life in general.  Don't let one failure keep you from trying new experiences or moving forward in your life.  One downfall doesn't rule your existence, it makes you stronger.

Don't expect a magical fairy to come along and change your life or suddenly give you everything you've ever wanted.  If you want something, go out and get it.  Don't sit around waiting for life to happen to you.

Each person is a unique character, and owning who you are is what makes you special.  When you stop caring about what other people think of you, or block out the negative parts in your life, you'll be surprised how much your life will change.

A good friend of mine once told me "only you can change your world" when I was going through a terrible moment in my life, and it resonated with me.  You have control over your mind, body, and surroundings.  If you allow something or someone to abuse you or control your thoughts, you have given them power over you.  Live your life for you, and nobody else.

I have an announcement to make.

It's probably pretty ridiculously obvious how much of a health freak I am, aside from my love for fashion and food.  If my words are not enough, then check out my Instagram for proof.  Over the course of about six or so months, I have been working on a project for you guys that I am quite excited to share with you.  In between snapping photos with my tripod in face-melting weather, turning into a gourmet chef as I whip up macaroni and cheese or chicken nuggets for my toddler, or transforming my condo into a video shoot, something developed.

Without further ado, I launched an eBook dedicated to harnessing positive thoughts and healthy habits.  The eBook encompasses a range of healthy recipes for radiating mornings, beauty tips, inspiration, and even some of my favorite workouts and juice recipes.  Creating a radiant life isn't only reliant on eating habits, but mind, body, style, and so much more.  Hence, my first eBook, Chic Eats: Radiate Your Mornings.

New Year, New You: How to Get Motivated

It's been a little while since I posted an episode of my "Fab to Fit" series, but I discovered this hidden little gem as I was going through my video archives.  What better time to showcase "How to get Motivated" than right after the New Year?  Sometimes we find ourselves getting "stuck" or distracted by other activities that we have going on in our lives that we forget to focus on what's important.  Therefore, today's post is all about getting motivated and entering the New Year with a plan!

My Steps to Getting Motivated:

1)  Make a Plan

2)  Set Goals or a Time Frame

3)  Go into it with an Open Mind

4)  Stay on Schedule - No Distractions!

5)  Create a Mood Board

6)  Build a Team or Partnership

7)  Reward Yourself

What do you like to do to get yourself motivated?

New Year, New You: How to Organize + Set Goals

The time has come when we all sit back and think about what we can do, now that we have entered the New Year, to better ourselves with a fresh start to the year.  A few of my favorite things to do are to:  1) Do a juice cleanse, 2) Clean out closets or drawers, 3) Donate clothes that I don't need or wear, 4) Set goals, and 5) Clean the entire home.  There's something refreshing about getting rid of clutter and things that are simply taking up space in the home.  It's also a great feeling to give back to the less fortunate, which sets the year off to a motivational start.

What are some things that you do to begin the new year?

My New Love: BeauCoo

As a beauty and fashion blogger, I consistently encourage an understanding of self-worth and maintaining a positive attitude in every aspect.  Today's blog post features one of my new favorite accessories that has been added into my iPhone, which is the BeauCoo app.

If you aren't familiar with BeauCoo, it is a social style network where women can connect with other women of all shapes and sizes to discover new styles, brands, and stores while becoming part of a body positive (#BoPo) community. What I love so much about this app is that it promotes inspirational and non-judgmental beauty where women of all sizes can share their most recent fashion finds and view style tips from other ladies as well.

For those who don't want to go through the tedious process of going to a store, trying on multiple outfits or purchasing an item online only to find out that it doesn't fit, BeauCoo provides a convenient shopping tool.  Viewers can "like" an item of clothing to show love to their fellow BeauCoo-er or "want" the item to place it in a "wish list."  How fab is that?

The sign-up process is nothing like a line at Great America or Disneyworld either - it's quick and simple (done it about 5.5 seconds).  After creating my username and password, it asked for my measurements (and no, they are not displayed for the entire world to see) and I was ready to start posting photos.  I've really been loving that I can just update and select pieces while relaxing on my couch.  I do love to shop for pieces in-store but as a mommy and business owner, time is of the essence and I'm always looking for a time-saving element!

Dressing for your body type helps women feel good and elevate confidence; therefore, shopping and picking out clothing should be fun.  The reality is that it's not easy or enjoyable for all women, so BeauCoo developed an app that helps women of all sizes, shapes and colors to unite together and feel more comfortable when it comes to selecting clothing.

I don't know about you, but I have signed up for so many different apps and end up barely using them or I simply revert to Facebook and Instagram.  A lovely little treasure that I discovered using BeauCoo is that I can also share anything that I post across all other social media platforms which is like a party in my iPhone.  Since I'm constantly updating and posting, it's really great for consistency and a uniform platform where I can just post on-the-go.

Join the BeauCoo community with me, and check out my page as well!  The smartphone based app is available in the App Store and Google Play, which also works on both iPhone, Android and the iPad.  They also have a web-based platform available, but I am a lover of the smartphone based app because I can update while I'm in the middle of meetings or at a special event.  Happy BeauCooing!

Friday Favorites: Motivation

Anyone who knows me (or follows my blog) should know that I am all for positivity and inspiring others.  More specifically, I love to motivate and inspire women to understand their beauty and capabilities as well.

One of my favorite things to do is read from an uplifting book before I go to bed or as soon as I wake up in the morning.  I'm one of those people who highlights quotes that I like and then I go back and read them over and over again as the days go on.  It's something that motivates me and keeps my focus.

See below for some of my favorite quotes, currently:

My Golden Birthday & OOTD

Hey guys and dolls!  Today is my "golden" birthday!!  For those of you who have never heard of this term before, a golden birthday is when you turn the the same age/number as the date of your birthday.  For example, I turned 26 today and my birthday lands on the 26th of June.  I am so happy to be where I am in my life and to have the amazing loved ones who surround me.  I'll be celebrating with a few friends tonight at a quick happy hour on the water, but the big celebration will take place this weekend.  I planned a private boat ride (although I'm unsure about it due to the weather), dinner at Serendipity 3 (my new favorite restaurant in Miami Beach), and Bamboo Miami Beach.  I'll post a blog about it later next week!  For today's post I'd like to share my "daytime birthday look" of the day.

What I'm wearing:
Vintage blazer
Cotton On blouse
H&M shorts
Mossimo sandals
ALDO handbag
H&M necklace

A few things that inspire me:

I placed this quote in a large frame, so every time I walk by it I feel inspired.  It reads, "If you rejoice in the way things are, the whole world will belong to you - Lao Tzu."

As I've mentioned before, I have a little (almost) 9-month-old man who continually inspires me to keep pushing and achieve everything that the world has to offer.

When I need some fashion inspiration for looks, I gravitate to these lovely magazines!  They inspire some of the looks that I put together.

Friday Favorites!

It's Friday, loves!  For this week's round of Friday Favorites, I have included some of my favorite beauty and fashion items.  I also added a few healthy lifestyle items.  I was not compensated for this blog post nor was I asked to write about the following brands.

This "Rich Girl" lipstick is one of my favorite beauty items.  I use this almost every day!  I received this particular one at a fashion show; however, I'm sure they carry it at Sephora or ULTA.

Since I am quite the "busy mama" lately, I thought that this planner was cute and keeps me organized.  I like to keep my life clean and organized so this can really help a lady out sometimes!

Although wearing heels is great, sometimes I need to rock some flats.  Therefore, I like to carry these flats around with me from time to time so I can just throw them on if necessary.

I've been using this Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner by Maybelline for quite some time now.  It's great if you are looking to create a nice cat eye.

This purse is the perfect daytime handbag, and I've been using it almost every day this week.  It was gifted from ALDO.

Last but not least, I received these inspirational books and affirmations yesterday!  I love positive literature.  As most of you know, I believe that whatever you desire can come to you as long as you remain positive about your life.  I hope you enjoyed Friday Favorites.  Enjoy your weekend!
