My Current Hair Routine

My hair has gone through a damaging rollercoaster over time, but my latest haircare routine has been keeping it smooth and silky. To begin, I've recently fallen in love with Suave's newest collection - Coconut Oil Infusion shampoo, conditioner and damage repair oil treatment. The 3-step system visibly repairs two years of damage and leaves hair luscious and healthy-looking. After using it, I've noticed a difference in the softness and weight of my hair. Since I live in Miami (also known as humidity central), Suave's Damage Repair Oil Treatment helps tame flyaways while delivering a healthy and long-lasting shine. Many of Suave's collections are salon proven to work as well as luxury brands. Awhile ago, I damaged my hair by applying an ombre dye job and let's just say it was a nightmare. In an effort to strengthen my hair, I tried a number of shampoo brands but failed to get the result I was looking for. Therefore, Suave's Coconut Oil Infusion collection has brought my hair back to life! I also love how affordable the products are, as I snagged these from Walmart.

Currently, I wash my hair and condition it first. After rinsing, I towel dry it and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then, I blow dry it and apply Suave's Damage Repair Oil Treatment and smooth it out with my hands. Brush over it one last time, and my everyday hair is ready!

Visit your local Walmart to try out all of the new 2016 Suave Professionals collections: Coconut Oil Infusion, Coconut Milk Infusion and Biotin Infusion, while supplies last.

No Cuts, No Dye, Just Blowdry.

As the weekend approaches, I thought I would share my newest find (and savior to my hair) in Florida. With locations in Boca Raton and Aventura, So Blo blowdry salon is an ultra luxe yet affordable salon where ladies can get their hair done easily and with no fuss.  I had the opportunity to take it for a test run prior to the Aventura grand opening, as I was on my way to another event and it was a fabulous experience.

Something that intrigued me about So Blo is their "No Appointments" policy, which means you don't have to go through the hassle of being able to fit it into your schedule because they cater to you and allow you to come in whenever you like.

What I love so much about this particular blowdry salon is the simplicity of it.  For example, you can get a quick blowout before a meeting, during a lunch break, before a big event, prior to a date night out with the beaux.  I'm also one of those girls who loves a good pampering (what girl doesn't love to be pampered?) and So Blo treated me like a queen from the moment that I stepped foot in the salon.  From champagne to the service, it's an overall relaxing experience that would even be great for a ladies night out or birthday night out.

How fab does this look?  Every signature blowdry includes a shampoo AND a glass of champagne.  The salon also offers quick touch-ups, scalp massages, styling for little ones, twists and braids, deep conditioning treatments, updo styling, and packages for frequent visitors.

Of course, So Blo knows me well and gifted me with a bag of goodies and an entire tray of cupcakes to go!

Don't forget to RSVP to the event that I'll be hosting tonight at Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour along with Haute Hippie founder and other fashionista bloggers!  Details below.

How to: Quick and Chic Ponytail

Hey honeys!  I don't know about any of you, but there are some days where I don't feel like making a huge production out of my hair or putting much effort into it.  Therefore, I created this chic method of throwing my hair back while keeping it quick and easy to achieve.  It's a great way to give your hair an effortlessly classy look.

What you will need:
Styling spray
Small plastic hair ties
One large hair tie

1) Gather all of the items you will need to achieve this style.

2) Carefully start pulling all of your hair back into a sleek ponytail.

3) Secure the ponytail with a large hair tie.

4) Now you have a simply ponytail.

5) Start securing small hair ties throughout the length of your hair, leaving about 1-inch between each separation.

6) Spray some styling spray to keep any stray hairs down.

7) Voila!  Now you have a quick and chic ponytail that goes with anything.
