Haute Holidays: 2013 Holiday Gift Guide for Women + HUGE Giveaway!

The infamous line that it's always better to give than receive during the holiday season is, well, not entirely true.  It's also great to receive a little, right?  So I have compiled some of my favorite gift ideas for the 2013 Holiday Gift Guide for Women as part of my "Haute Holidays" video series on my YouTube channel.

In addition to some fabulous gift ideas for your mother, boyfriend's mom, sister, BFF, or any other girl in your life, I will also be doing a huge giveaway!

womens gift guide, holiday gift ideas, holiday gift guide, 2013, style by lynsee, lucky mag, teen vogue, splendid, blu and baker, covergirl, bath and body works, fredderic fekkai, hair, haircare, nails, iphone, iphone case, phone case, hunger games, sally hansen, nail strips. candles, lotion, fekkair hair, luv ya skin, dermarose, blogger, fashion blogger, youtube, video, contest, giveaway, freebies, free, miami, new york, los angeles

1. Splendid Coronado Shopper Handbag
Splendid Coronado Shopper in Black/White is such a great bag for any woman due to its basic color which allows her to wear anything with it.  Not only that, but the spacious size of the interior lets a girl put her whole life in the handbag (which is what we do anyway, right?).

2. Frederic Fekkai Hair Products
I'll also be giving away three of my favorite hair products by Frederic Fekkai, which is the Pre-Style Thermal UV Protectant, Essential Shea Pot de Crème, and Brilliant Glossing Cream.

3. Bath & Body Works Goodies
Bath & Body Works has the best smelling candles that create an aromatic feeling throughout an entire room, and this year the company released mini mason jar sized candles in a multitude of delicious scents.  Therefore, I will be giving away a Cinnamon Frosting candle as well as their Cashmere Glow lotion and a small anti-bacterial sanitizer.

4. H&M Face Mask
This is pretty self explanatory, right?  Well, H&M's face masks are surprisingly fabricated by Estee Lauder which I learned from one of their in-store employees.  I love to throw one of these on before a big event or during an at-home pampering night.

5. Dermarose Skincare Products
Dermarose carries some of the most high-quality formulas for anti-aging in the skincare sector, and I absolutely fell in love with these two products.  Their Swiss Rose Stem Cell Anti-Aging Exfoliating Cleanse and Serum would be a really cute gift to package together for a pampering or spa gift to your mom.  For example, throw a candle, lotion, and face mask along with the Dermarose products into a basket and there you have a beautiful holiday gift for her.

6. Luv Ya Skin's Pumpkin Cleanser
As I've mentioned before, I love Luv Ya Skin's Pumpkin Cleanser which literally smells like a room full of pumpkin pie.  I desperately try not to lick my face after applying this cleanser.  You can't really go wrong with products that nurture a woman's skin or beauty.

7. Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Strips
The Sally Hansen nail strips are my go-to when I have no time to sit down and do my nails, or I'm out saving the world one crime at a time.

8. Favorite CoverGirl Products
I've been loving CoverGirl's Capitol Collection which is inspired by the Hunger Games: Catching Fire, as they partnered with the fashion-fierce movie.  A great idea would be to package a bunch of products together as a "beauty gift" to a little sister or BFF.  My current favorites are the 241 Aquamarine InkIt Eye Liner, 800 Very Black Blaze Mascara, two CoverGirl Smoochies Lip Glosses, 320 Shadow Pot, and 640 Black Heat nail polish.

9. iPhone Case
You can't go wrong with a phone case as a gift, unless you get her a case for the wrong phone.

New Video: How to Pamper Yourself with a DIY Girl's Night In

Every girl needs a little R&R (rest and relaxation) once in awhile.  Am I right or am I right?  On those Sunday nights when I just want to stay at home and relax, I enjoy creating my own little "DIY Girl's Night In" by making my home a spa in itself.  This would also be a great idea to try out with your closest girl friends by inviting them over for a cozy night in.

No "Girl's Night In" would be complete without:

Tribal.

One of my favorite fashion trends for the summer is showing off a little abdomen, and Miami has the perfect weather for such an outfit.  Actually, the weather is so hot that wearing no clothes at all would seem perfectly normal in my mind (although my body would not agree).  For today's look of the day I paired a cropped bustier from the Spring 2013 "Forever LA" collection with a pair of high-waisted, lightweight pants from H&M's Conscious Collection.  Although I have not been shopping as much at Forever 21 lately, this particular collection caught my eye with its bold and alluring pieces which feature a mix of graphic tribal prints.

According to Grazia Daily, "The Forever LA collection has two parts, the West Side and the East Side. The East Side is inspired by 90s urban Los Angeles style with vintage and alternative style pieces—think Fresh Prince of Bel Air. While the West Side embodies the laid-back vibe of LA with abstract prints, vibrant sneakers and crop tops.”  The face of the Forever LA collection is the timeless beauty, Cassie.

What I'm Rocking:
Cropped Bustier by F21 (Forever LA)
Pants by H&M Conscious Collection
Shoes by Steve Madden
Bracelet by Kate Spade
Bangles by Boutique
Sunglasses by F21
2-Finger Ring by ALDO

Silk & Lace.

Ever since New York Fashion Week, I've been swamped with projects so I have to apologize for my brief hiatus from blogging.  The weather has cooled down slightly in Miami, but it's given me a chance to pull out my fall and winter items.  One of my favorite ways to build a look together is to piece various textures or materials together to create a unified outfit.  For today's outfit of the day, I paired a silk flowing dress by BCBG Maxazria along with an edgy belt to cinch it at the waist and lace tights.  I added a hint of leopard print to add a bit of fringe to the overall look as well.

A new trend for the upcoming season is the black and white combination, which I am also loving right now.  Therefore, I threw on a bold black and white clutch to accent the look and finish it off.

What I'm Rocking:
BCBG Maxazria silk dress
H&M tights
ASOS belt
Steve Madden clutch
Guess watch

VIDEO: New York Fashion Week & IFBcon Recap

Hey guys!  It's somewhat late, but I am sipping a cup of coffee and wanted to share with you the details of my recent trip to New York for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  There's something about New York that is so captivating and the city is one place that I rarely have the desire to leave.  Although I couldn't wait to get back to my little man.  Enjoy the video and let me know if you attended any of the similar events as well ;)

Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference Recap (with Tyson Beckford) #IFBcon

Hey honeys, I'm back in sunny Miami Beach now!  My recent trip to New York City for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week NY ended up stretching a little further than planned, as there was a major blizzard (most of you probably already know) that cancelled my outgoing flight.  I had an amazing time in the city that never sleeps (and it truly doesn't - or maybe that was just me).  It seems like every time I go to New York, I find something new or another reason why I love that city so much.  From the runway shows at Lincoln Center, to fashion events throughout the city, lunches in Times Square, shopping on Fifth Ave, meeting new people and old friends, business and pleasure, it was so much fun.

One of the first things I did in NYC was attend the first day of the Independent Fashion Bloggers conference, which is something I recommend all serious fashion bloggers attend every year.  It's not only a great networking opportunity, but I had the chance to learn from other blogger experiences as well.  Benefit Cosmetics, MailChimp, and Fekkai Salon and Hair Products had some fabulous booths on-site, as well as Monster Headphones.  I had the pleasure of being selected to do a quick photo collaboration with the suave supermodel Tyson Beckford and another blogger, rocking the Monster headphones in their booth.

Check out the goodies and photo diary of IFBcon below!  For those who attended, it was great meeting you and can't wait for next year.
