The Leather Brigade

Upon careful consideration of Fall/Winter wardrobe staple apparel pieces, denim and leather have seemingly fallen into place.  Also known as the "new classics," denim and leather pair perfectly well together for a sexy and edgy look.  The force behind styling a ready-to-wear street look is to select garments and change the traditional way of wearing them drastically.  Instead of a thick denim shirt with casual jeans, lightweight chambray button-ups, or leather overlays and ankle booties to show a peek of that ankle cleavage (is that even a fashion term?).

Whatever you do, add some standout accessories to polish it off and boom - biker chic just happened.

Style By Lynsee on Instagram

I typically spend my Sunday mornings on my balcony, nibbling on fresh fruit (and of course, who doesn't eat their fruit on a gold plate?)

Recently, I had the pleasure of receiving a private invite from Calypso St. Barth to preview their latest collection and devour a delicious light brunch inside their Bal Harbour location.  This shot was taken in the dressing room, as I was trying on my favorite new pieces!

Calypso St. Barth has beautiful home decor!  One of my guilty pleasures is browsing home decor items online or via Pinterest.
Morning ritual: Black coffee in my silk robe.  Oh yeah.

One of my favorite new nail trends for the fall season that repeats itself from last year: Oxblood.

This photo shoot at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden was so much fun, and a beautiful venue.
I've been hearing so much about this new water that Whole Foods carries, alkaline fulvic trade mineral infused water by blk.  I was a little hesitant to try it at first, but it ended up tasting exactly like.....water.  Who knew?!
A new runway hair trend that I've been playing with lately, after seeing designers such as Rebecca Minkoff showcasing it at New York Fashion Week, braids.

It started out as a Sunday ritual, but turned into an everyday ritual: Pumpkin Spiced Lattes from Starbucks!!

Throwback.  I was such a classy little girl, huh?

Anarchic.

Despite my love for feminine pieces, I've been playing around with the punk trend for the new season.  The runways have been showcasing everything from tartan, vinyl and chains, to studs and spikes.  Therefore, one of my new favorite items is this studded A-line skirt by 2B Bebe.  I love how it encompasses the figure of a woman by minimizing the waist line and accentuating the curves by the shape of the skirt.

To neutralize the look, I'm rocking the 2B skirt with a simple graphic tee and cinching the skirt at the waist with a gold-plated belt.  Of course, you can't really go wrong with a strappy heel and I'm really loving these shoes by Steve Madden.

What I'm Rocking: Top by F21 | Skirt be 2B Bebe | Belt by ASOS | Shoes by Steve Madden

Mid-Heels + Pajamas

Today's look combines a number of my favorite fall trends, including the ever-so-comfortable pajama pants (pajama shirts are also trending) and mid-heels.  I'm typically a 4 or 5-inch heel type of girl, but I'm really loving the comfort of wearing mid-heels for the new season.  Therefore, I paired these Nine West metallic heels with silky cobalt blue pajama pants by ZARA.

Mixing prints and textures is another love of mine, so I added a bit of a nautical touch with this vintage belt that I found at a local boutique.  Of course, a girl can never get enough gold too.  The chiffon H&M blouse is exceptionally versatile, as it can be worn a number of different ways or to dress up/down a look.

Fall Fashion + Brunch with Calypso St. Barth

Earlier today I had the pleasure of stopping by Calypso St. Barth to check out their new fall pieces while doing a little light brunching with some pampering by L'Occitane.  Since its launch in 1992, Calypso St. Barth has emerged from a resort-wear boutique to a luxury brand inspired by travel and culture.  (I'm rocking the Georgette Snakeprint Maxi Dress by Love Shack Fancy in the above photo)

What I love most about their boutique is the sense of a luxurious escape filled with refreshing home decor and feminine pieces.

The Divya Sequin Embellished Halter Dress by Calypso St. Barth is one of the most elegant pieces in their boutique, and I love the embellishments added to make it an ultra feminine look.

OOTD: Leather

Hey guys.  If you watched my recent haul on my YouTube channel then you will recognize this gorgeous top that I styled in today's outfit of the day.  Not only is it comfortable, but it's so chic and beautiful.  I decided to give it a bit of an edge by pairing it with some leather shorts and polish it up with a brocade printed blazer.  I wore this to a new restaurant opening here in Miami and it's the perfect dressy yet casual look if you ask me.  It's not too much, not too less.

What I'm wearing:
Kardashian for Bebe blazer (older season)
BCBG Maxazria high-low top
H&M leather shorts
Rialto authentic Italian leather bag
