DIY: Cellulite and Stretch Mark Removal Scrub

"It was pretty much predestined to happen at some point, but I managed to find an at-home solution for removing cellulite or stretch marks."

It was highly requested on my video channel that I create a tutorial for ridding cellulite and/or stretch marks, and after having my son, it was necessary.  It was pretty much predestined to happen at some point, but I managed to find an at-home solution for removing cellulite or stretch marks.  My primary purpose for this scrub was to remove stretch marks that accumulated from pregnancy, and it has helped tremendously.  If you have those infamous dimples around your booty or thighs, believe me, it happens to everybody.

The most important ingredient in this beauty scrub is caffeine, which helps tighten the skin by providing antioxidants when applied directly.  Obviously, it won't magically make your skin baby-soft within the first few minutes of using it.  However, it works immensely over time.

What you'll need:

-  A jar or waterproof container

-  1 cup of coffee grounds

-  3 Tablespoons of sugar (or salt)

-  6 Tablespoons of coconut oil

Step 1 //  Measure out all of your ingredients

Step 2 //  Combine all ingredients in an empty jar, and mix together until everything is mixed together

Step 3 // Apply as much as needed to appropriate areas of the body that have cellulite or stretch marks, for about five minutes in the shower.  Rinse with water.  Use once or twice per week and store in the shower (with a lid).

The Little Red Dress

fashion blogger, miami fashion blogger, outfit of the day, shift dress, little red dress, le tote, taudrey, aldo, alex and ani, mercedes benz fashion week, swim week, 2014 fashion, 2014 fashion trends, summer fashion. summer fashion trends, what to wear to brunch, what to wear on weekends, weekend dress, how to dress, how to dress for your body, nude heels, red dress, girl, lucky magazine, teen vogue, seventeen

A comfortable weekend dress is a must in any girl's closet, as it is translucent in its wear and functionality.  With Father's Day and graduation season right around the corner, this red shift dress gives enough flexibility to do a little last-minute shopping or host a celebratory brunch.  It can also transform from a daytime look with a denim jacket and sandals to an evening look sans jacket.  Throw on a pair of nude pumps along with a clutch and glamorous accessories for a date night.

What I love so much about this dress is the embroidered detailing on the front portion paired with a scalloped hem at the bottom.  It adds just the right touch for a feminine piece.  If a shift dress doesn't seem to go well with your body type, you can also cinch it at the waist with a skinny belt to accentuate the waist line.

Last-minute DIY Valentine's Day gifts

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, as in directly creeping around the corner, and one of the most asked questions is what to purchase for a significant other.  DIY Valentine's Day gifts are not only affordable, but they typically mean much more to whoever may be receiving them because there was some thought put into creating them.  Therefore, here is a video incorporating four different DIY gift ideas for a man or woman:

1) A custom box of chocolates

2) An at-home date night box

3) Sweet vouchers

4) A custom "sweet letter"

See how to create these DIY Valentine's Day gifts here:

Video: DIY Sexy Leg Scrub

Although summer is nearing its end, I wanted to share my favorite DIY body scrub that gives a really sexy leg glow and it's extremely simple to put together.  Using products that are most likely laying around the kitchen, this coconut and lime leg scrub exfoliates skin and keeps it smooth as ever.  Exfoliating not only gives a beautiful glow, but improves circulation as well.

Some other great tips for maintaining sexy legs are:

1) Drink plenty of water

2) Shave legs regularly to remove hair

3) Stay active

4) Eat healthy

5) Apply lotion immediately after getting out of the shower to moisturize well (don't dry off first)

6) Don't wear clothing or undergarments that are too tight on your skin, as it can lead to varicose veins or numbing in the legs

Enjoy :)

New Video: How to Pamper Yourself with a DIY Girl's Night In

Every girl needs a little R&R (rest and relaxation) once in awhile.  Am I right or am I right?  On those Sunday nights when I just want to stay at home and relax, I enjoy creating my own little "DIY Girl's Night In" by making my home a spa in itself.  This would also be a great idea to try out with your closest girl friends by inviting them over for a cozy night in.

No "Girl's Night In" would be complete without:

Check out my "How to Pamper Yourself: DIY "Girl's Night In" video and let me know if you try it out!

OOTD: Mixing Textures

Hey guys, I hope you're all enjoying your week thus far.  If memory serves me correct (and my countdown for this epic moment)...tomorrow is THE day that Maison Martin Margiela releases in select H&M stores.  Now that I have released my excitement for the day, on to my OOTD.  I've really been enjoying various prints and textures so I decided to mix them in today's look of the day by incorporating faux fur, velvet and leather.  All of these materials are perfect for the fall/winter season and I love how it came together.  Velvet is a material that I can rarely rock in Miami, but adding accents such as shoes or a simple velvet clutch can really make the look seem more luxurious.

What I'm wearing:
ZARA top
Express leather jacket
H&M faux leather shorts (I've been dying for a pair of these!!)
ASOS belt
Intermix belt
Steve Madden heels
Boutique necklace

OOTD: Poise

Happy Veteran's Day everyone!  For today's OOTD post, I was going for a very polished look so I paired a peplum top with classic black leggings and a skinny belt so complete the outfit.  I'm loving gold hardware right now so all of my jewelry is gold and simplistic.  As for my hair, I put it in a sleek bun to finish off this chic look.

What I'm wearing:
H&M peplum top
ZARA leggings
Steve Madden heels
Express belt
Express necklace
Guess watch
H&M stud earrings
Vintage clutch

New Video! Mermaid Halloween Beauty Tutorial

Hey guys!  Over the weekend I took my little man to his first Halloween costume party and we were dressed as The Little Mermaid's Ariel and Sebastian so I filmed a tutorial to show you how I created the look.  I have one more costume that I'll be showing later as well.  I'll post a recap of the party tomorrow, but for now...enjoy the beauty tutorial and let me know what you're going to dress up as for Halloween.

Halloween Treats: My Favorite Dessert

My addiction to French macarons began when I first tried them at the Lincoln Road farmer's market and I started buying a dozen of them every Sunday ever since then.  They seemed easy enough to make so I decided to make my own and they were delicious!  I love how you can create different variations of these miniature pieces of heaven.  French macarons are primarily made of egg whites (yay, less calories) and confectioners' sugar.  I found that they tasted even better the day after I made them so I suggest eating them the day after; however, it's hard to wait that long.

They are the perfect cure to a sweet tooth - crispy on the outside and chewy once you bite into one of these babies.  I chose to make lemon, blueberry and chocolate hazelnut macarons but of course you can personalize them to your taste.

How to make French Macarons:

3 egg whites (day old)
3/4 cup almond flour (or you can make your own by processing almond slivers)
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
Pinch of cream of tartar

Filling:

I just bought jars of lemon curd, blueberry jam and chocolate hazelnut butter but you can always make your own

1. Sift together the almond flour and confectioners' sugar twice.

2. Whisk egg whites on a medium speed and add cream of tartar until soft peaks form.  Reduce speed to low and add granulated sugar.  Increase speed until stiff peaks form.

3. Sift flour mixture over egg whites and fold with a spatula until smooth.  I sectioned my batter into three separate bowls, added food coloring to each, and then poured them into separate piping bags (ziploc bags with the tip cut off).

4. Pipe 3/4-inch rounds about an inch apart on parchment-lined baking sheets.  Take your baking sheet and hold it about a foot above your table and drop it (this removes any excess air).  Let stand for 30 minutes.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees and bake at 325 degrees for about 8-10 minutes.  After each batch, set the oven to 375 and reduce again when you're ready to put another tray in.

5.  Let them cool and add your filling to each.  Assemble your mini macarons and enjoy!  :)

OOTD: Autumn in Miami

One of my favorite parts about autumn/fall in Miami is that I can still rock some shorts or a skirt in October.  Although I enjoy wearing layers during this season, I can't complain when it comes to beautiful weather.  This look is more of a casual daytime outfit that I wore to run a few errands.  I usually keep a pair of flats in my bag whenever I'm out as a "just in case," however.

What I'm wearing:
ZARA cardigan (old collection)
Gifted lace top
Target belt
F21 shorts and necklace
Express bracelets
Guess watch
Hamsa bracelet
JPK handbag

OOTD: Night Out - Paint the Town..Tangerine!

Although I haven't posted many OOTD's for a "night out" or "date nights," I absolutely love this dress for a night out on the town.  It's the perfect sexy, yet completely comfortable dress for a date night with your boyfriend or a simple night out with friends.  The bandage look of the dress reminds me of Herve Leger; however, this one is Guess by Marciano.  The tangerine color is gorgeous as well.  It's the perfect dress with a pop of color to make you stand out.  I've paired it with a neutral blazer if it gets chilly at night, along with my DIY heels.

This look was also featured in my YouTube styling video for transforming summer to fall pieces, which can be seen here

What I'm wearing:

Friday Favorites: Indulgences

Happy Friday my loves!  For today's post, I thought I would introduce you to some of my favorite indulgences.  Indulgences don't necessarily have to be sweets or food, but anything that feels special to you or makes you feel great!  What are some of your indulgences?

Honey + Brie + Almonds (warmed up) with Water Crackers - My friend Sasha introduced me to this wonder and words can not describe how delicious this combination is.  You MUST try this!

Bubble Bath + Wine or Champagne - After all of the hard work or workouts, I love to just relax in a warm bubble bath with a glass of wine or champagne.  It may seem small, but I appreciate this time so much.

Mask of Magnaminty - At night, I love to apply this mask by LUSH because it makes my skin feel amazing afterwards.  It also smells delicious!

DIY Leg or Body Scrub - Applying a leg or body scrub can make your skin feel silky smooth afterwards!  I highly suggest doing this once a month or prior to the summer season.
