Celebrity Look for Less: Kimora Lee Simmons

Happy Monday, loves!  It's been a little while since my last Celebrity Look for Less, but this has to be one of my favorites.  Kimora Lee Simmons is one of my all time favorite style icons not only because she is a great mother and power woman but her style continues to evolve (and she is Asian of course).  I've been eyeballing this Givenchy shirt for quite some time and I managed to find a similar shirt at Karmaloop for much less than the asking price.  What I love about this look is that she paired high end fashion with affordable items as well.  Therefore, I've put together a look for less for those who are looking for a similar look but don't want to drop a load of cash on it.

What Kimora is Wearing:
Givenchy top
Forever 21 leggings
Christian Louboutin shoes
Birkin bag

What I'm Wearing:
Karmaloop top
Forever 21 leggings
Miss Sixty shoes
JPK bag

Celebrity Look for Less: Kim Kardashian & Kanye West

As I was browsing through celebrity photos for my next "Look for Less," I came across this shot of the infamously stylish couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.  Kim is wearing Christian Louboutin "Unbout Illusion" pumps that have been notably trending in the fashion world, while Kanye is rocking a Balmain denim shirt with some Timberland boots.  I love the combination of their chic yet classic and edgy looks together.  Therefore, I decided to style my next celebrity look for less around this duo.

Humorously enough, my little man is my "Kanye" for this pairing.  I decided to style my look with a shorter dress since I'm not very tall, so anything that falls below my knees makes my legs look shorter.

Let me know what you think, guys and dolls!

What I'm Wearing:
ZARA dress (older)
Delia's faux leather jacket
Wild Rose Posy lucite heels

What Taejin's Wearing:
Baby Gap denim shirt
Baby ZARA black jeans (fitted)
Timberland boots

Black Tie Gala and Red Carpet Event Recap

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a black tie gala and red carpet event for the 100 Black Men of South Florida organization.  If you aren't too familiar with the organization, they have chapters throughout the world that have touched the lives of over 500,000 young people through their Four For the Future: Mentoring, Education, Health and Wellness & Economic Development programs to improve the quality of life of citizens and enhance educational opportunities for the African-American community (primarily focusing on young males).

Their signature weekend kicked off with a college expo and scholarship fair, followed by the Warren Henry Auto Celebrity Golf Classic and the 10th Annual Signature Black Tie Gala.  It was empowering to be in the same room with other powerful professional players as we supported this amazing organization.

NFL legend Lawrence Taylor was featured on CBS at the celebrity golf classic which will air during the Super Bowl.  Miami-Dade Commissioner Jean Monestine, the honorable Manny Diaz, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, VH1 Basketball Wives' star Kenya Bell, and two of the original Tuskegee airmen were also at the black tie gala.

What I wore:
Exclusive for INTERMIX silk dress
Target belt
Steve Madden heels
ALDO handbag

When I'm styling myself for a red carpet event or gala I like to keep it very glamorous and sleek; therefore, I curled my hair and swept it to one side to coincide with my one-sleeve dress.  The dress was a jewel-tone hunter green and made of 100% silk.  I kept my accessories and makeup minimal, as I wanted to keep it simple and chic.  I didn't really take many photos with my camera because I didn't want to be carrying around a huge Canon camera, but I took some shots of my look at home.

Look for Less: Kim Kardashian

As I was flipping through the pages of one of my fashion magazines, I came across this Kim Kardashian look that inspired today's "Look for Less."  I love the combination of this bright yellow blazer with leather pants because it reflects just enough edge but remains chic as well.  Most authentic leather pants go for at least $200-400; however, my look incorporates a much more affordable version.  Let me know what you think!

What I'm wearing:
ZARA blazer
F21 blouse
Boutique liquid leggings
JPK handbag
F21 accessories

Look for Less: Eva Longoria

"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different." - Coco Chanel

First of all, I'd like to say Happy International Women's Day to my beautiful and ambitious ladies out there!  After my first "Look for Less" blog post, I received a lot of positive feedback and requests for another one.  Therefore, today's post features yet another one - Eva Longoria.  I love the simple and casual look with just the right pop of color and handbag choice.  For this look, I paired a sheer collared shirt with some denim skinny jeans and these bright purple platform heels by Steve Madden.  Open-toe platform heels are the perfect Spring/Summer shoe.

For those of you who don't know, Jason Wu recently designed and launched a line for Target and everything nearly sold it immediately after it was released.  I managed to snag this two-toned handbag, which goes with everything!

What I'm wearing:
Guess gold watch
F21 blouse
ZARA skinny jeans
Steve Madden platforms
Jason Wu for Target handbag
