Neon Silk and Metallic Accents

What else would I be doing at 11:30pm on a Tuesday night than posting my blog of the day?  For today's OOTD I paired this gem of a top with some sequin shorts and metallic accents.  Combining neon with metallic accents can really make your look pop, or if you aren't as daring you can always choose your preference to add to your look to complete it.  For example, pairing a simple bright top with a neutral maxi skirt can go well with a skinny metallic belt and heels.  Whichever way you choose to dress it up or down, it can ultimately look amazing together.  XOXO.

What I'm wearing:
Cotton On blouse
Express shorts
ALDO clutch
Anne Klein watch
F21 earrings
China Glaze nail polish
ESSIE nail polish

Embellishments

As I've said before, I am very fond of the menswear look for women right now and I've been experimenting with different ways to rock it without losing femininity.  For today's look, I paired these sequin shorts with a white blouse, suspenders, and these Steve Madden booties that I adore.  When I'm putting together a menswear inspired look I like to incorporate male accessories but add embellishments that bring out the female side of it.  For example, sequins, rhinestones, and chiffon tops.  Let me know what you think!

What I'm wearing:
F21 blouse
Express shorts
American Apparel suspenders
Steve Madden booties

Denim + Leather

I love to pair contrasting materials together, and I was very pleased with the way this look turned out.  It's such a feminine look, yet edgy at the same time...which is just my style.  To brighten it up a bit, I added a bright pink bow clutch.  This is perfect for lunch with the girls or a casual event.  Let me know what you think!

What I'm wearing:
F21 top, ZARA collar, H&M skirt, Target belt, Steve Madden heels, H&M clutch

The Skinny Tie

One of my favorite trends right now is menswear for women.  However you prefer to style it, it can add a bit of structure or power to your look.  For this look, I paired a tuxedo jacket with a collared blouse, a lace skinny tie, and sequin pants.  I've also acquired quite the craving for these loafer heels as well.  They add a feminine touch to a masculine shoe.  What do you guys think about menswear for ladies?

What I'm wearing:
Vintage tuxedo blazer
F21 blouse
F21 skinny tie
Arden B pants
Hautelook (Me Too) heels

Here is a way for you to get a celebrity look for less, featuring pieces that are of the same representation but easier for you to snag!  I replicated Pippa Middleton and her casual look.  I love it because it's clean and crisp, yet so comfortable.  Let me know what you think.

The Ultra Luxe Faux Fur Ensemble

Happy MLK Day everyone!  It has still been a little chilly outside, so I've been pulling out my winter pieces.  Today's OOTD (outfit of the day) features one of this season's hottest trends which is faux fur.  I paired this faux fur vest with a simply sheer collared shirt, the fedora that I highlighted in last week's Friday Favorites, some dark skinny jeans, and some high heeled Mary Janes with bow detailing.

What I'm wearing:
Forever 21 fedora
Forever 21 sheer blouse
H&M faux fur vest

As you can see, the black trim from these silk pants really complements the detailing of my blouse.  These are probably the most comfortable pair of pants that I own.  They are lightweight and I love the feel of them.  Since we're having beautiful weather today, I decided to go with a look that is comfortable yet light.

What I'm wearing:
H&M sheer blouse
Target tank top
ZARA silk pants
Guess gold watch
Forever 21 bracelet
Sally Hansen Presto Pink nail polish
