As one of the key fashion trends during the spring/summer season, contrasting black and white colors has been all the rage. Although we’re approaching the fall season now, I still love the simplicity and classic appeal from pairing these two basic colors together. Designers such as Michael Kors, Maison Martin Margiela, Miu Miu, Ralph Lauren, Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, Jil Sander, and 3.1 Philip Lim went back-to-basics on the runway with black and white pieces.
To pull a contrasting look together, one can pair contrasting patterns or textures into an outfit or simply piece together various items that mix and match.

After much planning and preparation, my son’s 2nd birthday party was a success! This year’s theme was “Royalty” which was set to top last year’s “Young Hollywood” party. My little papa had such a great time, and I was so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family around to help us celebrate Taejin’s birthday.

When Venus invited me to a summer glam experience to benefit Step Up Women’s Network, what could I possibly say (but yes, please)? The Gillette Venus “Step Up and Step Out” tour stopped in Miami last week on Lincoln Road, encouraging women to show off their look on the “blue carpet.” For every step taken on the “blue carpet,” Venus donated $1 to Step Up Women’s Network.
As a philanthropist myself, I am always down to support any cause that empowers women. Step Up Women’s Network is an organization dedicated to igniting women and girls to fulfill their potential, so Gillette Venus invited all of the ladies in Miami out to bring out their inner “Goddess” for this lavish event.
Women were invited to enjoy a luxurious shaving experience, have access to hair and makeup touchup stations, try on the latest spring and summer fashions from Rent the Runway, and strut their personal look on the “blue carpet.” I had so much fun trying on various high-end designer items from Rent the Runway and walking the “blue carpet.”

For those who couldn’t attend, you could simply tweet with the hashtag #StepUp and $1 would be donated in your honor. Other tour stops included New York City, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

Hey guys! It’s a rainy day today in Miami, so I’m just sipping my coffee and working from the comfort of my bed. For today’s post I wanted to share with you the look that I rocked for the Celebrities Mix & Mingle for a Cause event which was hosted by actor Laz Alonso (think Avatar, NBC’s Deception and Jumping the Broom) at the Shore Club hotel’s pool area. The event was uber chic – complete with a red carpet, LeSutra sponsored cocktail bar, passed light bites, a live performance by Egine, a gifting suite filled with CoverGirl goodies among many other items, and a silent auction.
My dress was by Bebe, and the perfect lightweight piece to wear to an outdoor event in the hot Florida weather. I paired it with some nude pumps to keep it fairly simple and classic.
