If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, then you probably saw that I recently attended the Design District Magazine launch event last week. Hosted at Spazio Nero Club di Brickell, the event included sparkling rose for guests in addition to the latest summer issue of Design District Magazine as a showcasing. It was another fabulous night with some really great people!
As many of you may know, this past week was Miami Swim Week/Fashion Week and the city of Miami Beach was packed with fashionistas from all over the nation. I received a private invitation to attend this year’s Cosmopolitan Summer Splash event which was presented by Pantene and of course Cosmopolitan Magazine. I attended the event a few years ago when it was held at the Setai Hotel but this year’s runway showcasing was at an even better venue, Soho Beach House. It was the perfect setting to host a swimwear fashion show as the venue featured an elongated pool outside with appropriate seating areas for guests. It was a fabulous event!
Furthermore, each seated guest received a custom Cosmopolitan tote bag with the following goodies inside:
1 Cosmopolitan beach towel
1 Samsara Imports bangle
1 bottle of Pantene moisturizer and styler
2 CoverGirl Blast Flipsticks (in Glimmer Lueur and Vixen Seductrice shades)
1 new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine
1 pair of Cosmopolitan sunglasses
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had an enjoyable weekend, as mine was pretty busy. As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I, along with my business partner have created a nationwide event which will launch this Friday and Saturday during fashion week in Miami! I’m so excited about it and I’ve been really busy getting everything finalized for it. Over the weekend, I went out with the Fashion Rush street team to do some promotions for my event and we handed custom water bottles out to everyone in the Miami area. We received some great feedback from everyone and had a great time.

Last night I attended the red carpet event for The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club’s new reality television show here in Miami Beach. Its debut is set to launch May 29th, 2012 on the CW and will showcase the young and supercharged staff of the beach club and everything that happens in the hotel. The event was filled with Miami socialites and fresh faces, which made it a great event along with the numerous photographers and Press in attendance. Celebrity guest Kris Humphries made an appearance and it was also sponsored by Ocean Drive Magazine, The CW, and Stoli Vodka.
What I’m wearing:
Guess by Marciano dress
ESSIE nail polish

One of my new favorite accessories is this black bow tie that I scooped up from American Apparel. As many of you may already know, I am a big fan of menswear for ladies nowadays. I’ve been incorporating skinny ties, bow ties, and suspenders into my looks lately. For today’s OOTD, I paired a bow tie with a sheer collared blouse, bright pink lace shorts, a black blazer, and the infamous Steve Madden Mary Jane pumps. Enjoy, my loves =]
What I’m wearing:
TJ Maxx blazer (great steal!)
American Apparel bow tie
Steve Madden pumps
Hi everyone! How was your weekend? I had a pretty busy weekend, but I was able to squeeze in some rest and relaxation as well. I would have to say that the highlight of my weekend was attending the Miami Wine & Spirits Expo, yesterday. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, the Miami Wine & Spirits Expo is a showcasing of various wine and spirits within the United States (primarily more localized). Therefore, I was able to sample a variety of different wines and spirits!
As for what I wore, I decided to go with something pretty casual yet professional since I was going for business purposes. I wore my short suit along with some sandals and a snakeskin bag (faux). Here are some of the shots from the amazing event:
