As I mentioned in yesterday’s blog post, I attended the grand opening of H&M Miami yesterday and received a discount/gift card to purchase some fabulous items. Check out my new video to see what I picked up!
Hey guys and girls! Today I attended the grand opening for H&M Miami, which has been quite the anticipated event for some time considering that the city doesn’t have one within miles. The first 500 guests received scratch off cards with various discounts on each card. Last night was the exclusive VIP event featuring a performance by Flo-Rida and today DJ Irie (the official DJ for Miami Heat) was on the 1’s and 2’s on the roof of the store. The newest trendy (yet affordable) store is located right on Lincoln Road, in the heart of South Beach, where the historic Lincoln Theatre was. Once inside the store I found an array (to say the least) of chic and affordable items from the Swedish retailer, whose full name is Hennes & Mauritz.
Although it was a mad fest inside the store, it was quite the grand entrance for H&M Miami (red carpet and all). I snagged some great items with my card which I’ll be showing you shortly! For now, here are some shots of today’s event.
Hi everyone! For today’s OOTD, I am excited to bring out some of my fall and winter pieces which I have combined by adding my favorite fall scarf and tall boots to complete the look. Although I don’t get to wear scarves much in Miami, it’s one accessory that I can add to an outfit to make me feel as though it’s somewhat cold outside 🙂
Oh, and somebody else decided to show up in some of these shots.
What I’m wearing:
Bebe skinny jeans
JPK shoulder bag
What Taejin’s wearing:

Hey guys! I posted a new video up for today, October Favorites. Although I typically post Friday Favorites, I decided that I’m going to start doing a monthly video to sum up all of my favorite health or beauty products instead. I hope you enjoy 🙂
My addiction to French macarons began when I first tried them at the Lincoln Road farmer’s market and I started buying a dozen of them every Sunday ever since then. They seemed easy enough to make so I decided to make my own and they were delicious! I love how you can create different variations of these miniature pieces of heaven. French macarons are primarily made of egg whites (yay, less calories) and confectioners’ sugar. I found that they tasted even better the day after I made them so I suggest eating them the day after; however, it’s hard to wait that long.
They are the perfect cure to a sweet tooth – crispy on the outside and chewy once you bite into one of these babies. I chose to make lemon, blueberry and chocolate hazelnut macarons but of course you can personalize them to your taste.
How to make French Macarons:
3 egg whites (day old)
3/4 cup almond flour (or you can make your own by processing almond slivers)
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
Pinch of cream of tartar
I just bought jars of lemon curd, blueberry jam and chocolate hazelnut butter but you can always make your own
1. Sift together the almond flour and confectioners’ sugar twice.
2. Whisk egg whites on a medium speed and add cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Reduce speed to low and add granulated sugar. Increase speed until stiff peaks form.
3. Sift flour mixture over egg whites and fold with a spatula until smooth. I sectioned my batter into three separate bowls, added food coloring to each, and then poured them into separate piping bags (ziploc bags with the tip cut off).
4. Pipe 3/4-inch rounds about an inch apart on parchment-lined baking sheets. Take your baking sheet and hold it about a foot above your table and drop it (this removes any excess air). Let stand for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and bake at 325 degrees for about 8-10 minutes. After each batch, set the oven to 375 and reduce again when you’re ready to put another tray in.
5. Let them cool and add your filling to each. Assemble your mini macarons and enjoy! 🙂
Hello lovelies! I posted a new video on my YouTube Channel which you can access here
Rather than throwing out your candles or empty wine bottles, you can create a few chic jewelry organizational items for your vanity. Let me know what you think and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel as well.
One of my favorite parts about autumn/fall in Miami is that I can still rock some shorts or a skirt in October. Although I enjoy wearing layers during this season, I can’t complain when it comes to beautiful weather. This look is more of a casual daytime outfit that I wore to run a few errands. I usually keep a pair of flats in my bag whenever I’m out as a “just in case,” however.
What I’m wearing:
ZARA cardigan (old collection)
Gifted lace top
F21 shorts and necklace
Happy Monday everyone! I’ve been pretty busy these past few weeks working on an upcoming project so I spent most of the weekend with my son. The weekends are always enjoyable because it’s our “family time” and Sundays are my cheat days where I indulge in yummy food. I had some mommy time on Friday night, spent a lot of time outside on Saturday, purchased some new phone candy, and spent Sunday on Lincoln Road as usual.
The vintage market is back in season on Lincoln Road so I was uber excited. I love vintage shopping because you can usually find some really good hidden gems, but it requires some searching. Check out my weekend photo diary below and tell me what you did over the weekend.
