It’s official – the time has come to bury summer fashion. However, there are ways to transform your summer wardrobe into fall-worthy looks as well. For example, basic tees or tanks can still be worn during the fall season by adding layered pieces such as chunky sweaters or denim button-up shirts with a leather jacket. Shorts, skirts and dresses can still survive by throwing on a pair of thick tights underneath them with some tall leather boots.
The essential items can easily be transformed from season to season by simply layering and learning how to switch pieces in and out of your looks. Many people used to think that I had so many different items of clothing in my closet when I was in high school or college when I just learned how to utilize what I owned to create different looks.
Although summer is nearing its end, I wanted to share my favorite DIY body scrub that gives a really sexy leg glow and it’s extremely simple to put together. Using products that are most likely laying around the kitchen, this coconut and lime leg scrub exfoliates skin and keeps it smooth as ever. Exfoliating not only gives a beautiful glow, but improves circulation as well.
Some other great tips for maintaining sexy legs are:
1) Drink plenty of water
2) Shave legs regularly to remove hair
3) Stay active
4) Eat healthy
5) Apply lotion immediately after getting out of the shower to moisturize well (don’t dry off first)
6) Don’t wear clothing or undergarments that are too tight on your skin, as it can lead to varicose veins or numbing in the legs
As Labor Day approaches, many relaxing cookouts and R&R with friends or family comes to my mind. Today’s look features the combination of print-mixing and minimalistic white heels that creates an effortlessly chic outfit for any occasion.
As one of the key fashion trends during the spring/summer season, contrasting black and white colors has been all the rage. Although we’re approaching the fall season now, I still love the simplicity and classic appeal from pairing these two basic colors together. Designers such as Michael Kors, Maison Martin Margiela, Miu Miu, Ralph Lauren, Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, Jil Sander, and 3.1 Philip Lim went back-to-basics on the runway with black and white pieces.
To pull a contrasting look together, one can pair contrasting patterns or textures into an outfit or simply piece together various items that mix and match.
