Since I was traveling over this past weekend, I thought I would show you what’s in my travel makeup bag. Of course I don’t like to take all of my cosmetics with me while I’m traveling, but I keep the essential items. I also kept all of these items in one of my Glam Bags since it’s the perfect travel sized bag. Check it out!
What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag:
Benefit Eyebrow kit
Urban Decay Glide-on eyeliner
Milani liquid eyeliner
Maybelline nude lipstick
MAC pressed powder
L’Oreal Magic Souffle foundation
Happy Monday everyone! After working out early this morning, I’m feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the upcoming week. One of my greatest tips is to work out in the morning because it gives you more energy for the rest of the day and you have it “out of the way.” Over the weekend, I had so much to do but I managed to squeeze in some time for me to relax with my baby boy.
I’m not sure if you recall, but last month I created a post about my April MyGlam Bag and what I received. If you missed it, check it out here. It’s a monthly subscription where you receive various high quality beauty products. It’s quite a deal for the pricing that they offer considering the brands included in each bag and the quality of product. This month’s items are pretty good. I love incorporating a bold red lip to certain looks so I can’t wait to try out the red lipstick.
Hey honeys! I don’t know about any of you, but there are some days where I don’t feel like making a huge production out of my hair or putting much effort into it. Therefore, I created this chic method of throwing my hair back while keeping it quick and easy to achieve. It’s a great way to give your hair an effortlessly classy look.
What you will need:
Small plastic hair ties
One large hair tie
1) Gather all of the items you will need to achieve this style.
2) Carefully start pulling all of your hair back into a sleek ponytail.
3) Secure the ponytail with a large hair tie.
4) Now you have a simply ponytail.
5) Start securing small hair ties throughout the length of your hair, leaving about 1-inch between each separation.
6) Spray some styling spray to keep any stray hairs down.
7) Voila! Now you have a quick and chic ponytail that goes with anything.
For today’s Friday Favorites, I decided to do something a little different by showcasing some of my favorite products for the week but also how these products became some of my beauty secrets. Plenty of ladies have items that they use as quick tips or shortcuts to achieving something convenient in terms of beauty. These are items used on a consistent basis for me and I will explain why.
1) Toothpaste – Oddly enough, I dab a little toothpaste on a blemish when it surfaces because it helps dry it up quickly.
2) Scotch Tape – When I am creating a very dramatic smokey eye for an event or night time look, I achieve this by lining the edge of my brow bone with scotch tape to give it definition.
3) Baby Oil – When I need to clean up the edge of my eye makeup or any eyeshadow fall out from applying, I take a Q-tip and it quickly comes off with a small amount of baby oil.
4) 100% Acetone – Ever since the first time I used this, I won’t ever go back to the typical nail polish remover. This removes nail polish much quicker and more effectively.
5) Band-Aids – If I want to add detail or lining to my nails, I use these to create a nice clean line.
Happy Monday everyone! I decided to try something a little different for today’s blog post by incorporating my latest manicure routine. My nail polish collection is endless, as I have been collecting for years now. However, I recently picked up some spring and summer colors to add to it. As I blogged about previously, one of my favorite nail polish collections for the season is the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors polishes. For more of an everyday shade, I use the Kim-pletely in Love pink polish. It’s the perfect sheer, pale pink color.
Here’s my nail routine:
1) Thoroughly cleanse my hands with soap and water (sometimes I use a scrub).
2) Apply a thick layer of lotion to my hands.
3) Place some aloe vera gloves on my hands and let sit for 10 minutes.
4) File and clean my nails.
5) Remove cuticles.
6) Apply a clear base/top coat.
7) Layer on nail polish (I used 3 coats this time).
8) Apply a clear base/top coat again.
9) Let them dry and voila!
Here are my favorite items of the week! Enjoy XOXO

Pumpkin – I love adding this to dishes to create rich flavor, yet low calories.
Lip Butters by Revlon – These are my favorite lipsticks right now, as they apply like lip gloss but feel rich and smooth
As you may know, I bring you a display of my favorite items of the week for my Friday posts! Anyway, here are my chosen products of the week. Let me know what some of your favorites are.
