My Diet

One of my most commonly asked questions is what my diet consists of and how I maintain a healthy lifestyle. Although I like to think of myself as a nutritional wizard who knows what is good for my body, I am no expert so sometimes I need a little help. This is where Amwell comes in - Amwell is the nation's largest telehealth company (yes, you can remotely meet with board-certified, license doctors, dietitians and psychologists at any time). So if you're like me, and you have a little 4-year-old keeping you busy or looking for something that fits in your schedule better, you know how imperative this is.

Despite reading nutritional labels and conducting trial-and-error episodes with various dietary plans, I opted to meet with an Amwell professional for expert advice that would set me on the right path. Therefore, I set up an online appointment with a registered dietitian to discuss my weight-loss goals and how to eat a well-balanced diet. Let's face it, I have no time to be sitting in traffic or a waiting room just to visit a doctor. Being able to access my dietitian regularly, from my home, is perfect for my lifestyle and helps keep me on track. After meeting with Maika, we went over my daily calorie intake and what I typically eat, and she sent me a follow-up health summary to let me know what changes I can make to my diet to achieve my overall goals.

For example, I assumed that my protein intake should be rather high to gain lean muscle mass and shed fat, but she informed me that I also need to increase my carbohydrates to sustain energy throughout the day and get me through my workouts.

To hook it up for you, I'm sharing a special coupon code for a complimentary session to meet with an Amwell doctor. Just use the code AMWELLHEALTH where it requests your payment information and let me know how your experience is!
