Mitsubishi Mirage G4

Allow me to introduce the 2017 Mitsubishi G4, as bold and beautiful as she wants to be.  I had the pleasure of driving the all new car recently, and was quite impressed with its performance and technological capabilities. It has some fantastic smart features that allow for little distraction throughout the driving experience. For example, its CarPlay capability allows your phone to sync directly with the vehicle for a completely hands-free feature where it reads your text messages to you. It also offers the option to type out messages as replies, check voicemail, call contacts, etc.

Aside from its techie aspects, the automobile is quite purse-friendly if you're looking to purchase a car that won't hit too hard on the pockets. Although I would like quicker acceleration, it's extremely fuel-efficient. I know this, because I basically drove all around the world before having to fill it up.

Boys Bomber Jacket + Denim Shirt

As my five-year-old son has grown into a 33-year-old man over the course of his wondrous life, I can't help but notice that he's developed his own personal style of boys fashion. It used to be simple. I would pick out his outfits and shoes for the day, throw them on, and he would be pleased. Now, he must approve everything and if it's not cohesive with his style then we have to start over. Therefore, I've learned to allow him to pick out his own pieces by giving him choices. Hence, this look that we've created here. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Matrix Fitness

Although doing cardio is such a wondrous event filled with sweat-drenching excitement in the gym, believe it or not, it’s quite comforting to be able to do this at home. It takes away from that whole “sitting in your own sweat” during the drive home from working out. Therefore, I’ve teamed up with Matrix Fitness to introduce their newest residential luxury line of Matrix Fitness Treadmills and Elliptical machines. If you aren’t familiar with the brand, Matrix Fitness is the fastest growing commercial fitness equipment brand and their equipment is found in many elite gyms.

One can assume my level of excitement (and my sweat glands were enthused) when I discovered they just launched their Home Fitness line of machines. These machines have all the best technology and accessories for an incredible at home gym experience. I know I’m not the only one who agrees that it’s much easier to stick to your fitness goals when you have proper entertainment (i.e. apps on apps on apps) to keep your mind occupied, which makes Matrix Fitness equipment so unique. Personally, I like to watch YouTube, listen to music, and have the capability to connect my phone to stay in sync at all times.

Matrix Fitness Treadmills and Elliptical machines also come equipped with Sprint 8, a HIIT training program that helps trim fat, tone muscles and boost energy. Some users experienced a 27% body-fat loss in 8 weeks without changing their diets!

Zesty Holiday Snowballs Recipe

The holidays are one of my most cherished times of the year not only for being able to spend time with friends and family, but eating delicious food as well. However, I seem to struggle with finding healthier options whenever I go home. Obviously, I can't deny eating my mother's cooking or all of the thousands of holiday treats she makes. On the other hand, introducing healthy options is a possibility. To test out this magical theory of mine, I've teamed up with Earth Balance® to conduct a "Sneaky Swap" by swapping Earth Balance® Buttery Spread or Sticks in one of my traditional holiday recipes. Earth Balance® Earth Balance® Buttery Spread and Sticks are a plant-based alternative to butter or margarine, and I've actually been using it for quite awhile now. I've tried to make it an effort to reduce the amount of dairy I consume, for personal preference, and can't even taste the difference.

Therefore, I tested this out with my five-year-old son, with this recipe for "Zesty Holiday Snowballs." With only five ingredients, they are extremely simple to make and a healthier alternative to other holiday treats that may be lurking around.

2 cup shredded coconut + extra for coating
1/2 cup almonds, peanuts, or macadamia nuts
2-3 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp Earth Balance® Buttery Spread, melted
Zest and juice of 1 lemon

Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until well combined. Roll into 1-inch balls, coat in coconut, and let cool in the refrigerator until firm.

Makes 12-15 balls. Calories per ball: 150.

The "Sneaky Swap" turned out to be a success, as my son loved eating and making these yummy treats! If this particular recipe isn't your cup of tea, or you're looking for a visible step-by-step guide, check out this recipe for Peanut Butter French Toast.

Toyota RAV4

Believe it or not, I vowed to never become one of those caravan soccer-mom drivers after I had my son. There was something about driving an oversized minivan that did not scream, "I have arrived." However, I have opened up to crossovers or SUV's. The 2017 Toyota RAV4 Crossover has been an absolute breeze to drive, and it's not too bad on the eyes either. Its bold and chiseled exterior gives it an athletic touch, yet it remains refined with elegant interior.

Let me break it down for you. After I stepped inside the vehicle for the first time, I utilized the Smart Key System and pressed the ignition. I thought to myself, "do you hear that?" Absolutely nothing. The RAV4 has such a quiet start that I turned the vehicle off and back on, to make sure it was accurate. Aside from that, it's spacious enough to fit my whole life and then some. It also has an incredibly proven hybrid powertrain and great fuel efficiency. What surprised me the most was its 194 horsepower, which gave it sporty acceleration (we all know I love this aspect of cars).

Silky Lingerie and Army Green

As a young Lynsee, I was quite the obvious tomboy. Yes, believe it or not, I enjoyed wearing oversized t-shirts with over-the-knee shorts and high-top sneakers. Although my style has transformed throughout the years, I still integrate the raw edginess of masculine pieces into my outfits. For example, this particular look combines a delicate light pink bralette and silk pants with a military styled trench coat and metallic shoes. What are some contrasting pieces that you enjoy putting together to complete your looks?

Mitsubishi Outlander

For the past week, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing the all new Mitsubishi Outlander - and an excellent experience it has been. It came as a surprise when I stepped into the vehicle, as the Outlander offers spacious seating and leg-room for up to seven passengers with its standard third-row seating. Another aspect of the interior that I could appreciate is its sophistication of leather seating surfaces and leather-wrapped accents. The gloss black and chrome interior detailing also gave it a touch of luxury that reflected a stylistic approach.

The Outlander’s ECO Mode employs energy saving measures that allow it to switch from 2WD to 4WD only when necessary, ensuring that you’re getting the best fuel economy and lowest emissions. The vehicle also warns you when it’s necessary to brake, or if you are nearing another vehicle too closely it will brake by itself. Therefore, the new Mitsubishi Outlander not only has beauty, but brains as well.

My Current Hair Routine

My hair has gone through a damaging rollercoaster over time, but my latest haircare routine has been keeping it smooth and silky. To begin, I've recently fallen in love with Suave's newest collection - Coconut Oil Infusion shampoo, conditioner and damage repair oil treatment. The 3-step system visibly repairs two years of damage and leaves hair luscious and healthy-looking. After using it, I've noticed a difference in the softness and weight of my hair. Since I live in Miami (also known as humidity central), Suave's Damage Repair Oil Treatment helps tame flyaways while delivering a healthy and long-lasting shine. Many of Suave's collections are salon proven to work as well as luxury brands. Awhile ago, I damaged my hair by applying an ombre dye job and let's just say it was a nightmare. In an effort to strengthen my hair, I tried a number of shampoo brands but failed to get the result I was looking for. Therefore, Suave's Coconut Oil Infusion collection has brought my hair back to life! I also love how affordable the products are, as I snagged these from Walmart.

Currently, I wash my hair and condition it first. After rinsing, I towel dry it and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then, I blow dry it and apply Suave's Damage Repair Oil Treatment and smooth it out with my hands. Brush over it one last time, and my everyday hair is ready!

Visit your local Walmart to try out all of the new 2016 Suave Professionals collections: Coconut Oil Infusion, Coconut Milk Infusion and Biotin Infusion, while supplies last.

The Snack Monster

There's something you should absolutely know about me...

I am a snack monster. I don't know about you guys, but I love snacking throughout the day for a number of reasons. First of all, I'm a mom on-the-go so I'm usually chasing after my 5-year-old son or looking for a million and one ways to entertain him. Second, the concept of physically having to prepare a complete meal doesn't sound appealing to me all of the time. Finally, snacks are more fun. In all honesty, I often eat snacks in between meals to help satisfy my cravings or keep me from eating my arm. One of my favorites would have to be the Fiber One Lemon bars (their Oats & Chocolate bars are also quite addicting).

The bars have 25% less sugar and no artificial colors or flavor, which is a major factor for me. There are so many other sugar-packed snacks that my body would hate me for, so Fiber One Lemon bars keep me satisfied throughout the day. My son also loves them as after school snacks. Hence, my purse is packed with these. In short, the bars are so good, they should have another name. If you haven't tried them yet, they are available at Costco (AKA a mom's BFF). What are some of your favorite healthier options for snacks?

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Costco, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Chokers, Striped Silk Pants, and Translucent Heels

Well, hello there. It's been awhile.

Apparently, three days of not eating and barely sleeping leaves you feeling like a breath of fresh air. Despite my ill spell, I escaped for a little jaunt through Coral Gables today and almost forgot how beautiful this area of Miami really is. I've also been slightly obsessed with these pajama-style silk pants because they are extremely comfortable. What are some of your favorite pieces or trends at the moment?
