The best way to start off a new season is by detoxifying the body for a refreshing transformation, which is a typical routine in “casa de Lynsee.” Juice cleansing has become quite the “trend” throughout the nation, but it often gets misconstrued regarding its purpose. Many people have an assumption that by doing a juice cleanse means that a weight loss of 50 pounds in two weeks will occur. It is true that by doing any type of detox cleanse some weight loss is bound to happen; however, most of it is water weight. Additionally, the main purpose of a juice cleanse is to allow the body to heal itself.
After consuming multiple juice cleanses over this past year, I’ve learned that it truly helps give my body time to heal after putting toxins in my body and get back on the healthy eating track. For example, I was eating my fair share of pizza and cupcakes prior to the approach of Spring. Therefore, a juice cleanse was necessary for my body. My body and mind felt fatigued and I lost focus, but after a seasonal detox I felt amazing.
