My Looks of 2012

Hey everyone!  As the last day of 2012 is here, I decided to compile all of my looks for the year into this blog post.  It's funny to see my style transition over the past year, but fun to go back and look at past outfits that I've pieced together.  For those of you who have been following my blog over the past year, I just want to thank you for continuing to check it out and inspiring me to keep going.  I have some exciting things lined up for you in the upcoming year that I can't wait to share with you as well.

Therefore, I'm wishing all of you a happy new year with much love, health and happiness for many more years to come.  How will you be spending your New Year's Eve?

OOTD: Winter Wonderland.

Hey guys, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!  I was blessed to be with my little man and my family for Christmas.  After booking a last-minute flight home, I was completely caught off guard by this 10 degree weather.  We did the usual gift opening and then we had a yummy dinner to follow.  Although the weather is freezing cold, I love that I can pull out some of my winter items and layer pieces to create outfits.  For today's OOTD I added a lot of layers and kept it casual-chic.  How was your holiday?  If you don't celebrate Christmas, then I hope you spent time with family and enjoyed it as much as I did.

What I'm Rocking:
Express trench
H&M blazer
Brian Atwood gloves (from the Neiman Marcus/Target collection)
Express scarf
F21 tee
7 jeans
Aldo boots (old)
On my lips: COVERGIRL Blast Flipstick in Tease

OOTD: Sapphire Waves.

What could possibly be better than 85 degree weather in December?  Although I would love to wear layers and boots for the winter season, I can't really complain about being able to rock my shorts and sleeveless tops still.  If you live in gorgeous weather then you may also be looking for other ways to sport fall/winter fashion as well.  In Miami, girls tend to throw on scarves and boots (as if we have cold weather) so I paired some simple black booties with today's look of the day.  Adding booties to an outfit can make it more fall/winter appropriate.

I'm looking forward to spending some time up north for the holidays so I'm just doing some last-minute shopping and getting everything together before I head up there.  It's the one time of year where I pull out my coats and tall boots!  What are you doing for the holidays this year?

What I'm wearing:
BCBG top
Kate Spade bracelet
F21 shorts
Steve Madden booties

New Video: Holiday Makeup Tutorial

After a week of being sick, I finally had the energy to film a new beauty tutorial.  I'm sorry for the hiatus, as I didn't update my blog or my YouTube channel but I'm back ladies and gentlemen!  I'm not quite sure if it's the fact that my son is older now, but I have been in the holiday spirit this year and I've been looking forward to spending Christmas with my family and friends.  Therefore, my latest video is a holiday beauty tutorial that's perfect for a Christmas party with friends or even a family get together.  It would also be great for a New Year's glamorous look as well.  Enjoy ;)

Art Basel Miami Beach 2012 (ABMB) Recap

Hey guys and dolls, I'm sorry for the delay in my blog posts but I've been really sick these past few days and haven't done much but lay in bed (ringing my sick bell in hopes that someone will come take care of me).  However, I want to give you a brief recap of some of the shots I captured from the remainder of Art Basel Miami Beach 2012.

The entire week was filled with so many different events covering art, fashion, music, celebrities, etc. that I couldn't possibly fit everything in here.  Once I'm feeling 100% better, I will post some styled shoots and update my video channel.  I know for a fact that you don't want me to film a video right now because I sound like a man and I probably look like the bride of Frankenstein too.

New Video! My Weight Loss Story: How I Lost 55 Lbs in Two Months

For those of you who don't know, I lost 55 lbs once I had my baby about a year ago and I wanted to share my story with you because I've gotten a lot of requests from people regarding my weight loss regimen and tips on losing weight.  Therefore, I'm sharing my story with you  :)

Although the video is lengthy, it includes my entire story so I didn't really sum it up nor leave out any specific details.  Let me know if you'd like to see more weight loss videos, etc.

Vanity Fair International Party X Art Basel Miami 2012

Ladies and gents, it's about that time of year again...Art Basel 2012.  For those of you who aren't too familiar with Art Basel, it is the most notable gathering of people from all over the world and it attracts the most internationally renowned artists, collectors, celebrities, gallerists, journalists, socialists and trendsetters.  The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) North Miami and Vanity Fair kicked off this week's series of events with the MOCA & Vanity Fair International Party which was privately held at MOCA last night.  This particular event also featured a major exhibition of work by Bill Voila, one of the leading practitioners of video art.  Vanity Fair's International Party was made possible by Vanity Fair, Vanity Fair Italy, Vanity Spain, Belvedere Vodka, Phillips de Pury & Company, Stella McCartney and Art Net Worth.

Who's who in the world of art and fashion were in attendance last night, as well as Actor Christian Slater, Olga Sorokina, Bruce Weber, and many others.  I'll be attending a few more events this week for Art Basel 2012 which I'll most likely post recaps of, including tonight's invite-only Art Basel Vernissage, an exhibition at Christian Louboutin, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh's invite-only Art of Basketball event, as well as Harper's Bazaar's Pop Up.  Follow me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to keep up!

Celebrity Look for Less: Kimora Lee Simmons

Happy Monday, loves!  It's been a little while since my last Celebrity Look for Less, but this has to be one of my favorites.  Kimora Lee Simmons is one of my all time favorite style icons not only because she is a great mother and power woman but her style continues to evolve (and she is Asian of course).  I've been eyeballing this Givenchy shirt for quite some time and I managed to find a similar shirt at Karmaloop for much less than the asking price.  What I love about this look is that she paired high end fashion with affordable items as well.  Therefore, I've put together a look for less for those who are looking for a similar look but don't want to drop a load of cash on it.

What Kimora is Wearing:
Givenchy top
Forever 21 leggings
Christian Louboutin shoes
Birkin bag

What I'm Wearing:
Karmaloop top
Forever 21 leggings
Miss Sixty shoes
JPK bag
